Is the number of threads I should enable just a function of the processing power of the computer, or of the number of proxies?

Trying to figure out how many threads I should have enabled for 2.7Ghz dual core machine with 3Gb of ram using 10 proxies to run 50 accounts... accounts I plan on keeping as long as possible.

I've had Twitter edition up and running for a few days just populating the tweets and favorites, and it's running smoothly across 50 accounts. Looking to get deeper into it over next couple days, but I have a few q's.

1) It populated the proxies per acct for me (I entered into proxy manager). If a proxy gets banned, or I switch providers, do I just swap out in proxy manager? If so, does it know to only replace that one for each acct using that one? If I switch all, does it keep the ones that were together still together on the new proxy provided?

2) When I use the wizard to create a new set of tasks, I have option to copy to all, or replace all others... but what if I just want to replace some? Is there a way to group profiles somehow so that these 10 get this setup, those 10 get that setup, etc? I'm not seeing a way to do that yet. Or... can I do this by having them in separate projects? These 10 are running in this project, those 10 in that project, etc? If so, can I run multiple projects simultaneously? Would that require multiple instances?

3) Not quite clear if I need to use the at symbol, or something when setup to grab all followers of a particular user. I think I see where to do it, but not quite clear.

4) What is the scrape limit for followers of a particular user? Some of my competitors have millions of followers. If it is specifically limited, can we use another tool to scrape more users, and import the list, or import it in broken up chunks?

Great tool, btw, and I appreciate the answers I've gotten so far... just in the "wrapping my head around it" phase. Think I might be ready to add IG in a couple weeks once I've got this down inside and out.

1. Use File > Clear > All assigned proxies to clear out proxies assigned to each account, load the new proxies under the proxy manager and the software will again auto assign them to the account.

2. Replace is what you want. You can pause accounts you don't their settings to be replaced and after doing the replace resume them back. Yes you can also run multiple projects by starting a new instance of the software and creating a new project for the next group of account.

3. You don't need to include the @ symbol.

4. Scrape limit is not limited, the option means the number to scrape at a time, if the competitors have millions of followers the software will scrape their followers gradually and will eventually scraped all of them.

There may be existing terminology for this. Not sure.

I've come to the conclusion that I want to followback everyone who follows me, no sense losing anyone if I don't have to since they might retweet something in the future, etc. Unfortunately, due to ratios, taking this approach means I will need to do some fake followers.

So this brings up the following question: Is there some way to follow back everyone who follows me EXCEPT for all those fakes? Now, I know FL can't differentiate, but can I, for instance have all the fakes delivered on Monday, then Followback recent followers on Friday, but only looking back three days...

... or look at the numbers and see that after fakes were delivered, I had 2700 followers, and a few days later I have 3000, so tell it to only scrape the most recent 300? I understand that's not exact, but it's close enough, and would avoid me accidentally following 2700 bogus followers.

The software will not differentiate fake from real. The best option is to keep a record of the fake followers and put or import them under the blacklist. That way the software will never follow them.

Thread is based on processing power of the computer. Set the thread to 50 and see if that makes a difference.

I understand, of course, that any bot has no way of differentiating between fake followers and real ones, but blacklisting them for followback would mean searching through the feed and hand typing thousands of names... for EACH of the 50 accounts I've got going. All in all just one round of that would be over a hundred thousand hand typed names and would take me months to do.

That's why I'm asking if there is some way to approximate. For instance, if I know accounts have accumulated ROUGHLY 100 new followers each since fakes were added, can I tell it to only scrape the last 100 followers for each account. It won't be perfect, but it will avoid following almost all of the fakes and will follow back almost all of the new real followers. By keeping that same limit on going forward, it will never scrape back far enough to follow them in the future. Better yet would be simple time limit... like only scrape users for followback who have followed in last 3 days. If it's older than that, leave it alone. That's a good permanent solution, and if I ever had to add more fakes later, all I would have to do is turn followback off until 3 days after fakes were done populating.

Otherwise, to avoid following fakes, I'd have to just not follow back at all which would lose me tons of followers in the long run.

I think FL might already have something like this built in (scrape limit?) Just not sure what to call it or where exactly to find it when dealing with me following back those who have followed me that I do not yet follow.

used FL for 6 month and it can never follow more then 400 per day and if it follow that number it can't follow for that number more than 2 days
so FL can't follow 900 per day
i set it to just follow and unfollow no other task at all i scraped 100k before starting and set it to follow between 700-800

2. Add a query, select query type as "User's Follower" and type your username in the query box.

If I understand correctly... this means if I'm running 100 accounts, I'd have to open each one individually and make sure the user name matches and is typed correctly... then whenever I replace the tasks by copying from one wizard to other users... it would erase all of them and replace them all with the user it's copying from... which would mean I would either need to then reopen all 100 accounts and match them all up again, or all 100 of my accounts would now suddenly follow the followers of the first account.

I'm hoping I'm misunderstanding something, because that's clearly not how it should work. Most people using a tool like this would want to automatically follow anyone following them, and the process outlined above is very difficult to set up, and nearly guaranteed to cause a variety of problems for anyone using it on many accounts.

As for following followers, here is my simple suggestion, then:

A simple option to follow those who follow you per account. Should be easy to program as each account already has a field populated with it's own username, so data is already on hand. On top of avoiding all the issues mentioned earlier, it has a host of other benefits.

Following your own followers is a unique activity. It should not follow the same rules as other user scraping activity. How I scrape for other users, and what sort of limitations I use (only use top result, etc) should not affect how I follow my own followers. That is a completely different thing done for a completely different reason. It's not fishing, it's loss prevention. If I don't follow back soon, I may lose them.

I just spent two hours typing them all in by hand, and I may well have missed something or mistyped something in the process... and they'll all be wiped out whenever I end up needing to copy data between accounts. Worse even... they'll all be following the followers of the original account who's settings got copied.

Simple follow my followers option fixes all these issues.

Not trying to be pushy, btw. I wouldn't even bother making such a suggestion to other devs, but FL is very close to doing everything I need (unlike others), and this one suggestion, I believe, would not only require minimal programming, but would be a feature most people looking to maximize followers would not only use, but would want ENABLED by default.

Hey I have a question about the instagram bot that I purchased. So I am interested in automating my photo shares. However I have some accounts that rely on user submitted content that I post. As in I have to @username for every post I make in order to give credit to the person who sent direct messaged me the photo. I am fine with exporting these photos by hand and everything, but the issue is when I am automating it. For example I want to post every 2 hours or so a specific photo with a specific caption. So I use the photo share wizard and instead of the photo folder I want to add the photos individually. So I right click new, put in the caption, and set an image to it. Now my question is does it keep going down the lines and posts the caption and set image in order or random? I don't want it to repost that same image ever again, does it go back to it and reposts? Also I don't want it to use the photo folder as the photos have to match up with the captions, do I set it to an empty folder? I hope this makes sense. Thanks!

Put all those photos you want to set in a folder and set the photo folder path to that, then add your photos manually.

The software will not repost the photos, it will post them once.

after using your instagram bot for awhile i realized that if we use share photos features and lets say i set up this setting
share limit 2-4
daily limit 5-10
delay limit 30-60 mnts

that's mean after they post 1st photo the bot wait for 30-60 mnts before they share another one,right? but between those delays they do nothing except waiting and not doing any other task while waiting the 2nd photo to upload,is it right or i miss something?

the other solution i thought is set up a new project and setting
share limit 1-1
daily limit 5-10
delay limit 1-2mnts
(General setting) automation interval 30-60 mintes

my question is can i run 2 project at once?and how?

and 1 more thing is there affiliate program in FL?
