Why isn’t my product selling?

So I started a new website a few days ago selling a product that isn’t already available on Amazon, not a lot of people have it, and it is very useful (imo) it’s in the beauty niche. I don’t have money to market it, I’ve asked several influencers for their rates and this girl with only 20k followers told me that it costs $50 for her to post the product LOL! She’s not even famous, that’s an insanely high price and I can’t afford it. I made a page for it obviously, and I started following people hoping they’d see and make a purchase. Do I REALLY need to spend money on ads in order to get sales? I even advertised it to my friends and family and they weren’t interested. People are so far up their ass it’s insane. I hate my life and I just want to make something out of it. So many people selling shitty products have succeeded in the past so why can’t I succeed with an excellent product? Ugh

Don't be upset about getting, the success it will take some time by the way what product you are selling?

I didn’t just make a website. I pitched it to friends and family. I created a page for it. I started following people hoping they’d notice. I’m not insane, just desperate

Lol I’m not giving up. I’d rather die than to be mediocre. I don’t have the money for advertisements but I’ll make it work somehow. It just sucks that nobody ever supports their family or their friend. Only supporting people who are already rich and then complain about it LOL fucking stupid sheep

The bar is selling shit isn't that abysmally low. You will need to work a looooot more. Like really lot. Big lot. Got the point? :)

There's a bazillion products vying for the money in my wallet. Plus,I have the option to not buy anything today. So, for you as a seller, you need to find me, get my attention, persuade me that today I should be giving money to you for your magic pill. If you don't do that, my money will go to someone who will. That's how it works.

You did practically nothing to really market the product.

Start with market and promote your website and product, build up an audience. It can all be done free but it will take more time.

- Start with blogging on your website: It's good for seo & trigger readers to buy the product. Use benefits which people get if they buy your product
- Post quality content on social media: Demonstrate the product, show what it does and how it benefits your customers
- Try to get some bloggers or IG/YT influencers to review your product for free (offer them an fee per sale or something)
- Setup a competition/price question: Let people submit their name and emailaddress so they can win your product. Works perfect with social media. You can email offers to your build up list (with a discount or something so they BUY)

These are just 4 things that came up in my mind. Just start doing work if you don't have money to market your product.

Maybe unrelated but if you want to sell something without money for advertising or getting engagement you are already 1-0 behind.

Well if you don't have money for ads then you are at a disadvantage, you can still do it if you have the motivation to put the work in. It will require lots of work including manual promotions on social media until you can afford ads and ways to automate things.

But before you do anything I would look at your product. You think it is a good product but it may not be, you need to test and see if there is any demand for it. You say friends and family aren't interested, so try asking strangers what they think of the product and ask how much would they pay for it. You can set these things up easily and cheaply online but you can also do it IRL too.

you can promote any product free manually just takes a lot of work.

8 hours a day typing fresh reviews of your product will make sales .

stop moaning and start working .

might take months before a sale .

you can join hundreds of web 2.0 websites and promote your product.

you can make free video adverts to promote your product

you can post images of your product .

blogs and comment posting .

there thousands of ways .

stop being lazy.
 
You just haven't found your buyers. If I were you, I'd get into reading about marketing, target groups, make some goals.

And, even though I am quite like you when it comes to spending money, BHW-ers will tell you that you gotta invest to cash in.
Well, a lot of 'em if not everyone. So, you told us how you feel and now get to work, read everyday, research and experiment.

we advise spending cash becouse of the fast conversion from the traffic ....

there no over reason ....

non marketers / newbies need to see results no pachents, so paid traffic works faster.

opposed to free traffic .

Anyway, try to see it from the perspective from your possible customers. Why should they buy the product? And why from you? Only because they are your friends or related with you is a bad argument.

There are enough low cost methods to bring in targeted traffic. Just read through some guides and journeys here and you will find some ways ;)

Exactly, money speeds things up and it's completely find and understandable :)

In your previous message you said "8 hours a day typing fresh reviews of your product will make sales".

I agree that faking it and creating content helps but, care to elaborate, reviews for where exactly?
