OP, if you want to make any money in this industry you need to get serious about marketing your product. Creating a website is a good first step. Now start with the basics:
1. SEO (onsite and offsite)
2. Market Research
- who is the product for?
- where do they hang out online?
- what other similar products?
- how are similar products being marketed?
3. Yes, paid ads are necessary
- paid advertising is how you scale quickly and make the big bucks
4. Email list
- have you created one?
- how are you getting people onto the list?
5. Landing page optimization
6. Social Media optimization

I could go on, but it seems like you need to do all of the above before anything else.

Also, this industry is not for the weak -- if this is troubling you so much because you are poor and desperate, then you should focus on getting a job (or a better job) so that you have some financial security, and use your off hours to work on this project.
 
Good for you that you have started your own business! I have been selling women clothing for 4 years, and i can tell you that its very little marketing you can do for free. And the marketing you can do free don't really get you any customers just like you now have experienced. 50$ to market on a girls channel that has 20k followers is cheap. But if you dont have any budget then i guess that is not cheap... So my point here is that you need to spend money to make money. I know that a reg day job sucks. But maybe thats what you need to have in order to get money that you can invest in your business. And also its a very bad move to open a business without any money for marketing. One good tip i can give you if you wanna keep trying to make it without spending money atm. Offer influencers products instead of money to market your stuff. That worked good for me, but it can only get you so far. Try that on that girl who had 20K followers, just look thru her pics and see that she has many likes n comments so she have not bought all her followers.... Keep asking ppl, around 10 - 30k followers to market for products. If you ask ppl that have more than 30 or 40k followers they gonna want to have cash and not products only. GL!

your a bit negative , i only use free traffic ...

when a marketer and no how ,it not hard to make money from free traffic .

to scale another story(( need money ))
 
You don't have $50 to pay a micro-influencer? You don't have any money for marketing?

How much working capital DO you have? If that number is $0 then you need to stop and re-evaluate everything you're doing. A charge-back will wreck your life. I've done the shoestring budget hustle before, don't do it. It's more stress than a day job. Get a day job and use the money as a force multiplier. Micro-influencers are useful in your niche, you need a way to pay them.

You need working capital because:
1) You need to be able to ship product while you're waiting for Paypal/Amazon to get off their ass and give you your money.
2) You have to be able to eat a chargeback
3) You need to spend on marketing.

If you don't have any working capital right now, stop what you're doing and get some. Trust me, you'll thank yourself in the long term.
 
Basically all types of products can be sold online / internet.

It's just that you don't know how
