Question about Keyword Analysis

Hello Guys,

I have a question about a new way for me to test a keyword's volume potential.

I've been testing lately, and I noticed on numerous occasions with a lot of keywords, let's say with SEO tool like Ahrefs, I get a "search volume of 0 / per month" in their data.

And when I test from a different SEO tool like SEMrush, I get a "search volume of 500/month".

- So my first question is which one of these two should I believe?

- My second question, to test the actual volume of those keywords, I publish empty articles with the keywords in their titles, and index the page on "Google Search Console", and after a few days I go back to check if there are any impressions. So if I publish "empty articles", will that hurt my SEO/site?

Why would you publish empty articles? Yes, those are thin content as per Google. They might damage your website on the long run. Also, you might not get any impressions even if indexed, if the competition won't let you show on higher pages of Google, so your test shows nothing, tbh... Don't trust any third party tools, they are just that, third party tools. I made articles on 0 search keywords and they brought in quite a bunch of people. The question I usually ask myself when picking a keyword, especially when I know the niche, is would I ever search for something like this?
 
nobody will give you a 100% real result, just take it as guidance and compare different tools. For this case, you could take it as traffic is very little or close to none.

Empty articles sounds like a senseless idea.
 
Have a look also ad adwords, and get an estimate from there too.

As for empty pages no, forget it, just prioritise what you can be most motivated to write up and take it from there.

If you publish an empty article, how could the search engine knows what your page is about? Do you feel it's the right option to publish the blank page?
Of course, empty pages are bad for SEO , they actually waste the Google bot crawling power and it might dilute you DA. Get rid of the empty pages and replace them with a redirect to a more meaningful page.

What does Google say?
 
By using tracking tools, you can neither get accurate data nor ranking position's in apt.
Does you can go with manual check of keyword ranking positions and data's to find it in accurate,
Google Ads (AdWords) Keyword Tool would help you providing comprehensive and competitive data on keyword suggestions. Or you could use Google Search Console to know your keyword position and performance
 
You should trust tool by google that is google analytics and there are types of keywords on which google are not showing search result . So you can aslo use 0 result search keywords but dont put so much content.
 
Thank you so much guys! I can see that I'm getting a common answer here, which is not to put a blind trust on the SEO tool and trust more my instinct and my knowledge in the niche I'm at.

From now on, I'll stop using these empty articles, and just use my common sense regardless of what the search volume says.

@f0rest00 @Mendoza-davis You're getting it wrong, The intent behind me publishing "empty articles" is to see if the keyword has some actual volume, if it does, then I'll add the content !
