My Amp page through the amp plugin looks urgly and I don't know much about coding. Is there a better and simple way of implementing amp with just HTML, CSS, or JavaScript codes and get exactly the design as the non amp pages.

No. You need to create an AMP layout seperately. There is a seperate structure for it. Have to some knowledge on AMP structure coding level to do the AMP html. After completing the design, you will connect with amp html on desktop version.

So that, your AMP wil recognize by Search engines

Any pointer to how I can do this?

don't bother with amp anymore. a stupid concept by google which they gave up on.

see this: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-page-experience-update-begins-rolling-out/

As part of this update, AMP is no longer a requirement for pages to be included in the Top Stories carousel. That change will take effect as early as this Thursday. In addition, Google is expanding the usage of non-AMP content to Google News and removing the AMP badge icon from search results.
