Amazon Cutting Commissions on April 21st

How likely is it that this will stay permanent? Due to CoVid 19 i've seen A LOT of affiliate networks cut down their payouts on CPX Offers, sometimes almost -50% than normal. Maybe its just due to the current circumstances and hopefully it will recover again.

Geez, i get that Amazon is a big player in the affiliate marketing industry but why would anyone still consider them over anything else with these low margins.

All Amazon affiliate websites valuation dropped by 50% now i think they have almost closed their affiliate program

Time to look for a alternative ways to make money. I don't think they will shut it down. Imagine that all affiliate marketers decided to stop recommending Amazon affiliate products, they would lose a lot in sales.

What I see here is greed. They've been looking for an opportunity to do this for a long time, and this pandemic presented them with that opportunity. If that wasn't the case, it wouldn't have been a permanent change.

What's the way forward guys?

Nothing going to happen. All those big brands and people like us will start promoting ebay, walmart etc. In my opinion amazon capture sales by re targeting ads. They are fucking themselves.

I can't understand why anyone would stick with Amazon now. There's tons of affiliate programs that can get you 30-50% instead of their measly commissions. (I'm aware conversion rate might drop)

This is really bad. It's a 75% drop for the most popular category. To put this into perspective, a site that was making 200K per month has now become a 50K per month site.
