Not everyone uses BH methods. Some are just luckier than others. You can do everything right and not see any growth while someone can do everything wrong but still get tons of views and subscribers.

Also if the guy in the video was able to use BH methods he wouldn't have targeted a very niche type beat keyword. The type beat channels that know how to successfully deploy BH methods can rank for more popular keywords. A good example of this is to search freestyle type beat and literally every channel that's ranked for it is utilizing BH methods.

Back in 2009 I made my first ever $ selling beats online, went "viral" in my country overnight, and got top hip-hoppers messaging me non-stop.

I was young and stupid and all about money, they didn't want to pay instead they offered me "my beats for free promotion", my name on a CD that is selling all over the place, I didn't understand what "marketing" meant.

We live and learn, I guess...

Also unless you really know what you're doing, I wouldn't recommend you try to grow a legit channel using BH methods. You're more likely to end up hurting your channel.
