I actually went ahead and manually added them in. Couldn't wait any longer.

Can I ask why sometimes my ranks just show zero when they clearly aren't. This happens for some of my urls and I will see it go from #8 or whatever it is to 0 and then back to its real ranking in the next hourly update. What is the cause for this?

The "bouncing effect" occurs when your site is ranked at different spots throughout Google's datacenters.

Since SerpBook uses hundreds of IPs, SerpBook will return data from multiple Google datacenters. You could be ranked #2 in one data center, and #13 in another - it will just take some time for all of Google's data centers to sync up.

Please let me know if you have any other problems with this (via PM - include your email & keywords).

Thanks,
-Lanbo

Just wanted to post a quick review:

been using the service for about a month. Sure rankings went out for a day ( because google made some changes ).
Rankings always 100%, and support ( when needed, which is 1 email ), is very good. I dont get no stupid emails with upsells.

good interface and easy to use
I will be upgrading soon as the service is still evolving and i am enjoying the rise so far

I totally agree and have been recommending it on other forums. Great Tools and great support!

Some Suggestions:

1.) It would be nice to be able to turn off the "BL" for the viewkey/white label link. If, for example, we've built 28,000 backlinks for a website and SerpBook is listing 14,567, I know that we are going to get a number of unnecessary phone calls if not fits and freak-outs.

2.) I'd like to see what each engine lists as the ranking URL when mousing-over the graph icon, not just Google: Again, should we implement SerpBook on a wide scale, a certain percentage of our clients aren't going to understand why they are seeing numbers in 2 out of the 3 columns, while "NOT FOUND" appears in the ranking URL tool tip.

3.) I know most people care most about Google, but a fairly large set of our clients get the bulk of their traffic from Yahoo and Bing; it would be nice to get bi/hourly updates for those engines as well. I do understand that this takes more resources on your end, but if offered as an a la carte option, I would certainly pay for it in the event that it's not cost effective for you to provide, free-of-additional-charge, bi/hourly updates of these two engines.

Thanks,
BLIXX

EDIT: I forgot to mention that SerpBook hasn't updated for me since 4:17 a.m. And, I'm getting a lot of this when clicking on the graph icons:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.More information about this error may be available in the server error log.Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hi,
1.) We are currently adding in a setting feature to allow users to select which columns they want to see (both personally and for their clients).
2.) Good idea, we will add in the ranking URL for each search engine.
3.) Hi, I'll send you a PM about this with more information.

Thanks,
Lanbo

Hey there,

Sent you a PM a little while ago about this, but I'll post it here too;

If you add a url with a #! (such as a Twitter url), it doesn't track the serp at all and you are unable to remove it from the list of keywords. It'll disappear and do the nice little animation, but if you refresh the page it is still listed there and no matter how many times you try, it will not delete.

I'm assuming this is a bug, unless I'm doing something very wrong.

Any ideas?

Hey, please PM me your email and I will fix this for you.

I just made an account and have a few things as input:
- I don't like it that when I choose my password you forward that in plaintext to paypal and display it in the paypal window. This makes an unsecure feeling that you don't use the standards of hashing passwords and store them crypted. Gives an unsafe feeling.
- It's important for me to track SERP for the same domain and keywords on different googles (mainly .ch .at and .de), adding them on different googles doesnt work, your system declares them as duplicates and doesn't store them.

So far it looks good

Update: serpbook did a good job in finding the exact SERP number, now i got 4 alerts (for 10 keywords) where I should have dropped to 0? I made the manual check ups and we're still available on the same position. Did a proxy of you just get disabled/blacklisted? Is that something regular that we should ignore?

Hey, thanks for your suggestions.
-You can choose a generic password and then change it afterwards if you do not feel comfortable sending this data to Paypal.
-We will add a fix around this but for now, please make a different category and it will work out.

Your rankings can bounce around sometimes since SerpBook is harvesting data from several Google data centers using hundreds of IP addresses. But just incase there is a bug, you can PM me your keywords and I will take a look at it.

Thanks,
Lanbo

I wrote you directly via the contact form in serpbook since I can't write PMs in BHW. (need 15 posts gnarg)

Another Bug found: click on 'Profile' -> 'Contact Us', then click on 'Profile' -> 'Settings':
The page you are looking for was not found!

Bug fixed - and replied to your email.

Has the monthly search volumn option for each keyword been deleted? I don't seem to locate it after the update.

Another idea: can you make a link to show all graphs for one categorie? You could also include them into the PDF report.
It's much more comfy to just press one link than pressing it for every single keyword

I'm really wondering if there isn't something to this, Lanbo - the 'freshness' of your proxy list. I have keywords (some of which we've discussed via PM), that far more often than not are listed as "0" for Yahoo! and/or Bing as opposed to their actual rank; some of which are actually in the Top 3 results, if not #1.

The explanation that differnet data centers being accessed by differnet proxies causing a webpage that actually ranks top 3 to be listed in SerpBook as not in the top 300 doesn't make much sense, since the odds of one data center listing a webpage in the top 3 and another not listing that webpage in the top 300 are very slim. Especially if the keys in question have consistently been at the top for any length of time.

Overall, what SerpBook lists for Google is accurate, but there are occasional anomalies that would be explained by proxy rejection.

In addition: the option to show certain colums is nice, but why does it omit the column selected in the dashboard's reporting? Shouldn't it just eliminate that column for the view key and reports that we elect to generate for clients? Also, Applying these options applies our selection(s) to every category in the account - can it be particularized to each, individual category?

Hey, our Google Monthly Search Volume harvester stopped working a few days ago but we have fixed it and added it back!
