There's no way to maintain positions. No guarantees.
You need to keep up with their webmaster blogs and keep up to date on what's changing. That's all you can do.

Make sure you update the content keeping the latest google updates and also do some quality backlinks and you should be okay.

Keep you content up to date. Watch videos from SEMrush on YouTube. They give some clues about what they think is important.
One of the main factors though is fresh content, and this includes updating old content. One really high ranking affiliate blog I follow updates all their articles every year. ALL! They will go through and update small bits of info here and there, and then update the last part of the blog title with '2019' or whatever the year is. The URL stays the same, but page title changes. Then of course they put 'last updated...' with a date of current year. But they also put out new articles every couple of weeks and do about 20+ other things to stay high up in the rankings.
It's a large combination of factors and there's no one thing you can do to stay at the top.

You can't keep the position forever. Have your own system in place for traffic.
This is why i said What if google is trolling us showing the entire backlinks to us but actually gives full waitage to last 1 year fresh links for ranking and gives only half waitage to the year before links and then again half of the half of previous year links. This way , the existing link power and same link sources can be easily nerfed progressively and site can easily get tanked if same or higher power fresh links is not get created progressively. So you essentially need a big pocket

Well no choice, Google is king of internet. They are the Boss , we are the workers still depend on them , I have seem some members here heck care anything , never go back update old content , just post new contents daily , SEO , backlink once a while do buy service or never due to budget , whereas some don't even do much , surprising can rank ,
sometimes I wonder is it we can get Nature Backlink from Google ?

yes of course. we can get natural backlinks, this way i think we can minimize the damage. still can't rank forever is first place

I do buy SEO service and backlinks from some members here also is nice some offer reviews out of good gestures. Have to thanks them. In return I will review see how it like.
Just that i curious , about Natural backlinks. How it works? Google give you nature backlinks?

people share your links on forums and other site include link as reference. I suggest you have your own System in place. The one time sellers remove your links after a while (1 year). and thats an alarm in the eyes of google. I have also bought many link buidling services and sudden drop of all the links hurts the site
