I want to create some type of bot to automate this tedious task that I have to do for hours on end in Chrome. I need it to:
1. move the mouse around for a few minutes
2. check a box
3. click send
4. loop

How would I create something like this? I am a complete noob and don’t know where to start.

You could try something like selenium, if that fails try and google browser automation

iMacros would be the most suitable, if you're a beginner. It can be used with no coding knowledge whatsoever, you just need to record stuff practically and play it (in loop). It seems fairly easy what you try to automate, although i don't exactly know what you mean by "move the mouse around for a few minutes".

You can try the Firefox addon or the standalone browser, i wouldn't recommend the Chrome addon.
