Do you guys trust Neil Patel?

I have been following his youtube channel for a while now and think he gives a lot of basic tips the is ideal for beginners. However he does not share strategies to outrank a competitor. I guess he has a company, and he is not going to share the methods he uses to rank his clients.

Listen, I'm running since 2016 a fanblog from a very successful classic rock band. Even their official website and social media back links me. Just like 1+1=2 of course Google skyrocketed the blog. It's nothing to do with SEO. Patel have found a good speech as a SEO guru. Also, he spend a LOT of money on FB ads and Adwords.

One of his PBN are running more than 100 blogs and a lot make use of Adwords. One of G main metrics? Having sites ranking #1 (even by paid positioning) back linking you will give you a boost. My thread of course is a provocative one on idiots like Patel and his pupils.

I know ppl from BHW making more money than him; working way less. Some guys/ladies here would bury Patels PBNs if necessary. But as they say in Hungary: silent wolves feeds better. I don't know how to proper translate it to English.

Do you really think he will stay ranking on page 1 for tough keywords for years if he didn't know seo? Please think about it.

Get top ranking is one thing BUT stay there for years is another thing.

Neil patel's PBN? I don't think he use PBN. But even if he use it, he should know how to cover it because if not, he has already catched by google. Covering PBN need seo skill right?

Who then do you follow?
I don't follow any person for Seo. You need to keep applying "hit and trial" method to get success. Read Google's basic Seo tutorials, learn more about technical seo, discuss your problem in webmaster forums, ask your friends about their strategy and at last apply some common sense.

I listen to motivational speakers and then I put my own methods to work. After listening to Will Smith or Les Brown or even fictional character quotes from people like Rocky Balboa, Jake the Dog, Dumbledore, or Don Draper.

Nope. Then again, I don't trust a lot of people in real life too so I wouldn't trust a random guru on internet.

He is good for begginers and also for some basic knowledge but not for advance type of seo.

I think he is an expert. But the guides in his blog are not very helpful because they are not actionable.

neil knows SEO better than me.because ha have a lot of experience and works many years

Which just comes back to the original point, coaching and courses are just table scraps, and the meaningful information usually comes from digging deep.

There is a lot to learn by looking at the methods these gurus use in their own promotions, but anyone skilled enough to do such an examination is likely already past the point of gaining any value from the paid coaching.
You have a good point. Most of the coaches and courses are built towards newer people and their value comes from hand holding. Sure, you could get the same information if you spent hours and hours and hours reading, testing and deciphering the BS, or you could buy Mr. Patel’s course...

And there are courses out there for more advanced stuff, but you will only hear about them if you are on someone’s email list, bought their beginner course and already trust them enough to invest in “advanced material”, aka the stuff after beginner SEO that you can still learn at places like BHW for free, just with more time invested rather than money.

Spend money = save time
Spend time = save money

The only reason why he seems better at his work is because no one on BHW wants to scam other beginners because we all have been there. I'm sure he has an account on here looking for methods on how to better reach his newbie targets . Trust me .

With all these internet marketers there's only one thing in common, they are selling the shovels. Coming across as trustworthy to newbies is not that hard, you just need to fake a few things in the beginning.

He is actually targeting clients. When you ask a typical IM guy for a good SEO expert they might remember this guy. His aim is not to teach people. He just showcase his company and himself so a large company can hire him if they need to get their SEO done.

He is a MORON. That should be the last place where you should gain SEO knowledge.

All I know about him is that he's a good salesman. I'm yet to obtain any value from him.
