Any differences in SEO benifits for customized site vs Wordpress/theme site

Does creating a customized website in ( javascript or PHP ) will add more value in getting SEO benefits than WordPress theme website? ( or it doesn't matter on which platform we create) ,

If i am looking for a longterm option 5+ years, which one should i go with?

Custom cms is best option for long term website (this is my opinion), but you must know what are you doing. When write custom cms, you write code especially for your needs. Also, you need have time to create and update cms from time to time. In custom cms you will not have plugins/modules like in wordpress and you have to write your own functionalyti. Custom cms is faster and better than wordpress, but it is too expensive if site is too big. In wordpress you can buy or install free theme and you can install plugins for your needs in minutes. Both systems have their own pros and cons.

I would say it will be better to go with WordPress . SEO is comparatively more about off-page than on-page so with WordPress it will be really easy to maintain and optimize the website. This will surely help you to minimize your efforts and focus purely on off-page for desired results.

I have checked out the alternatives, Strikingly, Ghost, October CMS, and even with their "cleaner code" google pagespeed insights gives their sites a pretty poor grade. Hard to increase that if you're not a developer, but with WordPress there are many free cache and optimization plugins that can get a WordPress site ranking pretty high for mobile speed score, which is why I still just do WordPress. If there are better alternatives then please do correct me.

It makes no difference. If you know what you're doing, you can use any CMS you like to create your site. No CMS can fix bad seo implementations.

Basically, the CMS is your tool, what you do with it depends on your skill.
