You wont loose any parts of the image. Just decrease it to something more suited for web. You can retain the proportions. 6000 x 4000 for example can go down to 3000 x 2000. I would reduce the width to 1600px . That too if the images need to scale the width of the screen. If not ill bring it down to maybe even 768px. This will drasticaly reduce image file size aswell to a 100 to 200 kb. Econmerce needs to be fast. Loading multiple 1mb images will drastically effect your conversions

If you have photoshop just open the image and under Edit tab on the top left go to edit image size and just put the dimension you need. If you put the width in the height will scale proportionally or vice versa.
