Is it just me, but it seems like Hostgator has had a lot more issues in the past year then I ever experienced in the 5 years we have been using them. I have recently diversified and have hosting with 2 other companies since the beginning of the year. Neither company has had an issue with down time yet.

We appreciate everyone's patience as our host (HostGator) is looking into this issue - we will definately look into alternative hosting solutions so this does not happen again in the future.
Going to try some rank tracking software to supplement as site is down. Maybe I won't have to upgrade to the next level at 2,000 keywords as there is no discount from 1,000 to 2,000. 2 x 1,000 subscription price = 2,000 subscription price. Seems kind of odd not to discount a bit at each level.

just because you might not check daily doesn't mean the rest of the world does the same.. When you pay for a premium service you expect uptime, it's really that simple.

Hostgator is down, not SerpBook. HG never really goes down - it's not like SerpBook is skimping on crappy $2/mo hosting.
I wasn't even aware that there was a lifetime coupon, but I'd also love one.

If you are offering any kind of compensation for this downtime count me in. Ive been a customer of serpbook for almost a year now, just upgraded my plan few days ago and yesterday was my SEO analysis day and I cant take any desicion because of this downtime. Will be waiting for your PM.

I have been with Serpbook since the very start and they have an amazing uptime. If you expect a Month free for this downtime then I feel sorry for you.
Serpbook offers a great service, it's not there fault Hostgator has a shitty network.

Any ETA from HG when you will be live again?
With all due respect, if you go down and your service is mission critical, then have layers of backup for your service. Hostgator goes down, then have rackspace kick on or vice versa. But to leave customers stranded like this, it's not fair.
Lanbo has been accommodating us for and replying to us in a very timely way, so that is very much appreciated. But it's going to probably going to take time to build confidence again in their service for the long haul. After the recovery, we will have to run through another due diligence process of finding a new or backup service for rank checking.
Wish this wasn't happening today, I guess there is no good time for this. Just very frustrated as we trusted the service.
lanbo, is there a way to turn on the service on a different host right away and not have to wait on hostgator? I have a feeling the data is lost or corrupt at hostgator / hostgator has no clue on how to bring it back up / host gator is playing lanbo.
