Which language is the best to learn in 2023?

I am thinking of becoming a software engineer, i know just a little bit of python and C++ from my previous years of school (know the basics just to understand what the codes)

Times are a bit tough right now and i want to earn money from something i love.

Saw that there is a bit money to be earned from making mobile games, so i want to start with that, which language is best to learn for me (someone who want to make applications/games and become a software engineer later in life) the reason to learn the language could be useful for my knowledge and where to learn it from? any recommended courses or videos?

The best programming language nowadays in general is GOLANG you can learn it from here https://go.dev/doc/ .For mobile development there are other better languages like react native, kotlin and flutter

for "mobile games" i suggest to learn "Unity" they use C#.

But you should know how the web works: Javascript/React +CSS+HTML.. very important for a software engineer

For mobile games, if you go Unity route (most popular) you learn C#, for Unreal Engine it's C++. Godot is C# or C++. If you do games from scratch and want to have them cross platform, you should go for C/C++ and use platform specific languages only to interact with the platform (Java for Android, Objective-C for iOS).

You may want to learn the most powerful language: it's Python, not C++

I’m mostly a C/Python developer and a few years ago I’d definitely say go with Python, but things changed since then and Rust is the killer nowadays, growing fast as fuck

It depends on what you want to learn to program, if you want to create automated Python programs it is the best thing to do it.

If you want to learn how to create web pages, you should learn HTML, CSS, php (more important) and JS for start.

I would suggest solidity is great. Most blockchains build smart contracts using solidity. And this is a booming industry!

i would say python or javascript due to the sheer amount of things you can do with either of those, the demand, and the community.

If you want to go into game development, C++ or C#.
If you want a job, learn JavaScript, just for the shear amount of jobs out there requiring JavaScript.
If you want a high paid job, learn Solidity or Rust.
Python is a great option if you want to do data analysis or task automation, which in my opinion, is where the money is if you're doing internet marketing.

Python, Java, C# those are always a must, you can also learn SQL and oracle to have a complete knowlede, but it really depend on what you are thiking to do once you finish your studies or in what you will be working on to focus on that language.

I think this stack should include Javascript. So many times jobs will require it (of course only relevant if you are looking for such a job as developer)

Its always Javascript especially without a gree most other positions will be extremely hard to get, because of the concepts they belive only graduates can have

For game development C++ and C# should be good. Also you can try lua, which is frequently used in some engines

remember to use strict mode, but not as strict as that'd be in a corporate project

if you want to code mobile games, I think you're kind of late to the party
maybe you can still turn profit, but it will be just a tough, mental job
and if you don't want to kill the passion, don't have a boss

what's the programming language for that? java for android and objective c for ios
both are fucking boring to learn unless you're passionate about architecture and good practices
corporate will love you if you know these languages - they're known for their security and high stress at work
