If you just want money, the quickest 0 to paid role would be web development imo.
But with most things in dev you're going to make money eventually once you get good enough.
The main thing will likely be, will you get good enough before stopping?
For me I only find the motivation when im working on something that I am interested in, money never seems to motivate me for more than a week before I get sick of a project.
Learn the basics in whatever area you choose, come up with a few simple project ideas and try to make something, you'll soon figure out if programming is for you.
