No probs, out of curiosity why aren't you going for an IEO instead of ICO? Being that you've already got your blog behind you I imagine some of the small-medium-sized launchpads would be keen depending on your traffic and the amount you can spend on listing.
ICOs are a super dated model at this point and have a bunch of negative baggage attached to them. IEOs aren't a whole lot better, but the reputation of the exchange backing your IEO can go a long way.
I once took part in an IEO. It was a top 10 exchange on CoinMarketCap and it was partnering with CMC. We paid the money to get listed on it, $xxx, xxx and run an IEO. We sign the contract and then the bedrock started to come up as we neared the IEO date.
The exchange decided to decrease the time for the IEO by saying it will attract more investors because the time is limited.
Then they said they will complete the first round of crowdfunding by themselves (we were supposed to have 3 rounds) by saying it will attract investors for sure on round 2 and 3. Even thou we did not need any of this and we did not talk about any of this prior, they just said they will do this a few days before our IEO.
This is just the bad experience with IEO's and it is probably our fault we did not research the exchange better.
I suppose I could go for an IEO, I just need to find a small-medium sized exchange which is secure, legit, has got real trading volume going on, easy to sign up etc. But then again, it could hold back some investors as ICO provides an opportunity to buy our tokens anonymously and we are getting in the cryptocurrency gambling niche. It might hold them back from investing if they have to hop onto a small-medium side exchange which is not very popular perhaps.
We will have 3 rounds of crowdfunding. With every successful round, we will get listed on a new exchange, and by by completing the round 3 we will get onto a medium sized exchange, where bigger players hang out on.
My aim is to get only a hand full of investors on my ICO, around 10. Preferably investors I can closely work together with to help me develop the project further - feedback wise, network wise, resource-wise, idea wise, wisdom wise, staff wise etc.
We have a good business project and the above ^ makes more sense than just to get people's money, it is a good capitalization.
So, yeah, the biggest withdrawal from getting into IEO is the need to sign up on the exchange.
Instead, I am researching the best small-medium sized exchange with the best qualities to be ready to get listed on as we complete every round of the crowdfunding.
