for all those asking about how to use shopify payments
im from middle east so i just registered a LLC in uk online, got a service and business address.
got a transferwise account and linked it to my shopify payments and stripe accopunt(stripe for backup)
and youre good to go all it takes is around 100$ plus only a week's time.

you dont need to show an id verification if you have a registered company and then open a bank account on that comapny's name in transferwise.

Are you sure..? They asked for 2 IDs for verification for Shopify Payment even though I have UK company LTD..

For those who don't know, Shopify themselves have a registry of integrated payment methods for their platform.

But yeah, for most of the 2nd/3rd world countries like us the most popular are gonna be Paypal and 2Checkout.


US LLC + Bank account is probably the best way to go. Thought that's quite tricky if you aren't a US resident.

After searching though a shitton of services that offer US LLC formation, the cheapest and best quality service I found and used was Incfile - that allow non-US citizens like us to register. Though there's also the complications of getting the LLC confirmed > then notarizing your US address > then getting the official formation documents to your US address afterwards. Then getting a US bank account where 9/10 they'll need you in person to open the account > or you can get a 'family member'/ trusted friend to do it for you at a few select banks > or try virtual online banks like Mercury > and a whole other lotta shit.

Lol it can be a bit stressful depending on your country (certain EU countries have it easier with certain banks and such), but worth it. A lot goes into getting it all set up though. Not necessarily too hard, but tedious and technical. That'd require a whole guide thread of itself lol.

Why choose a US LLC over a UK LTD which is easier and doesn't require you to be in person there, plus all the mobile/virtual banks that are exclusive to UK, which can be used with Stripe, Shopify Payment and Paypal too ?

I agree with you on 2CO. I don't like it, but if it's your only other option then meh. For the Shopify payments stuff it all depends and can sometimes be a lucky draw, similar to how some ppl get issues with Paypal holdings and some dont. For that though, you'll have to go in-depth and back to back with Shopify support, providing all documents and having them verify that you're legit.

Here's some of what they said from the email:

I hear that you'll be able to open a UK company within a day or so for $50 to 200$ depending on your needs with some services..

I can not get paypal business acc because of my country (Iran)
and can't get payout through Bank transfer because of that too. So I can not use Stripe or...
and I don't use Shopify, I have wordpress site of my own.

Is there any suggestion please?

They both are awful for 3rd world countries. I actually recommend PayPal but as you said you can't create a business acc. Maybe someone can help you here. cheers

Just do your best to find a way around that. Opening a UK LTD for 70$ or so will be a (very) good start/solution.
