Yes, I will be ignoring this one too! Kid.

EDIT: The way you talk to people is just so unprofessional and rude. I hope you can change how you present yourself to others, you seem like a very intelligent person.. But wow you are very unprofessional and do not care about anyone els's image but your own. Thread isn't made to bask anyone. Just a suggestion. I expected a more respectful response from you considering you emailed back and forth with me discussing our own personal objectives while trying to build a nice business relationship with one another, then you write terrible things about me? Your not an honest person.!

I talk more professionally than almost anyone who is regularly active on here. Your issue is that I am blunt, and typically not in agreement with what you are wanting. I'm not rude, I just disagree completely and have stated my reasoning for doing so.

I have no problem being civil in private conversations, but when you are manipulating other members into agreeing with a pointless pointless point, don't expect me to go along with it because we have exchanged a couple emails and have similar ideals. There is a difference between "Hey, tell me about yourself" and "I think we should change the whole site because I don't benefit as much as I should, only respond if you meet this criteria".

I don't need a business relationship with an SMM reseller. I like your moxie, and the fact that you seem to care about BHW. But I don't like that you care about furthering yourself and your profits by changing the way tens of thousands of members interact with one another.

And regarding honesty... I am the most honest, straightforward and transparent person on this forum. Its the campaign I have run on since the day I started contributing here, and should be very obvious by this point. I'd like to think that this is reflected in my current status on the board, and the number you see next to "Likes Received".

I don't respond to your threads to troll or to be a dick. I am providing constructive criticism. If you don't like the abrasive and blunt way in which I do that, put me on your ignore list, too. I'm not going to tiptoe around your feely-feels.

I also don't toot my own horn often. But just know that if you do choose to ignore, you'll be missing out content from the most contributory non-mod that has ever been on Blackhatworld.

To keep from further derailing this train wreck, I'm going to bow out and focus on my own things. Best of luck in your business goals in 2019.

No, no no... Your responses are always attacks against how I present myself. If you truly wanted to " talk professional, and give constructive criticism" then you would do it in a PM.

Your a virus on this thread atm, please just don't respond if you plan to attack me. Better yet, don't respond on ANY thread if your plan is to write out a huge response that ends up attacking someone. I have a strong stance and can easily ignore your words, but not everyone does and I could never talk to someone the way you do. You make others feel bad about themself and that is a terrible trait to have. You should be ashamed.

Don't advertise your services on the thread. No one on this thread cares about missing out on your self promoted "content from the most contributory non-mod that has ever been on Blackhatworld". No one one this thread cares. They are more worried about the answer to the question mentioned. Also, I am sure I won't miss anything I am concerned with!

I already find that most BSTs have too much junk posted in them. I would hate for them to get even longer and even more useless. Its already hard enough to find important information, why make it even more difficult?

Good question, maybe for this response feature, we don't make it appear as a comment, but more as like a small notification on the ORIGINAL question.

Good question for sure!

You mean kind of like the thread system in SLACK? That would require major modifications to Vbulletin for very little (if nothing) to gain.

I hope that is not the case for the lack of action. There are plenty of vendors spending huge sums of money per year on BHW's advertising options, ourselves included. Cleaning up the marketplace from these practices would only improve the retention rate and growth of users on the forum, allowing legitimate vendors to scale up their advertising budgets on BHW subsequently. It's a win-win for everyone involved, except those currently skirting the rules.

+1.

Disclaimer: I love the marketplace - it has allowed us to sell some very successful services from 2011 - 2017. Forever grateful to BHW for giving us a platform to launch some big name link building services over the years.

We've spent huge amounts of money on BHW advertising in those 5-6 years, ranging from premium stickies, banner ads, email blasts etc. Back in the day, there were only 6-7 slots in the sticky area, so ROI was great and we had no problems reinvesting back into advertising.

However, in the last few years or so we've had to cut down spending on ads since they weren't really effective anymore. The price of these ads isn't the issue though (we have no problems paying for regular ads every month) -- it's more so the fact that other - very specific - vendors are abusing the marketplace in an unfair way, thus ruining the overall impact such ads could perform for our services.

Honestly, I don't even mind that there are 15 or so slots in the sticky area now - all I ask is to hand out appropriate infractions to those abusing the system so that the rest of us who are considering purchasing advertising from BHW can get the most value for our money.

We'd love to start spending $10k/$20k per month on BHW ads, but it doesn't make sense to do so when you have other vendors abusing the marketplace and gaining exposure to their BSTs in shady ways. Defeats the whole purpose of buying premium ads IMO.

If I'm paying for a high-exposure sticky every month, but then there are other vendors who are increasing exposure to their threads via fake bumps/reviews etc... it kinda makes me feel cheated.

There is crazy potential for the BHW marketplace for legitimate and high-quality vendors. I would love to see a full revamp of the existing marketplace and would be more than happy to provide private suggestions/feedback to staff. All our services combined on BHW have done over 7 figs in sales, and I'm sure many other members have also done similar numbers. I hope we start seeing the change the members have always wanted.

Hopefully in 2.0 they are taking things like this into consideration.

Great response. I also am very thankful for what BHW has to offer.

Instead of this, new BSTs should be allowed to bump once in 24 or 48 hrs. For 1st month, and then same rules as of now.
This will give courage to new sellers to get more opportunities. Compared to BHW Giants .

But , for
Should BHW allow more replies on a BST per 24 hours?

We have PM.

Hopefully in 2.0 they are taking things like this into consideration.
Unfortunately, Marketplace 2.0 is going to be completely optional, and at a significantly higher cost. And since both 1.0 and 2.0 are paid sections, both should be getting attention to clear up the glaring issues.

You just have to check the pool and the posts that get most likes on this thread to see where the real arguments are.

Just saying.

I've cleaned this thread of several childish posts. we don't need pointless memes, pathetic retorts or name calling.
This is not the Lounge, so unless people have anything constructive to say, then do not post.

This is an open post, I'm not naming names, but anymore of the B/S and I'll happily give you a week away from here.

This stops now.

Oh ok.. But they are linked to the same database right? I do not mind paying extra to have certain features that would improve my support times on BHW.

.
What you are saying isn't based on logic, you are just making stuff up.

It will NOT mean less bumps. The seller can still do the same amount of bumps every 24 hour period. It's an OPTION to not bump the thread when replying. How would it result in less traffic to BHW and the thread? It wouldn't. You are just lying.

If you think users will create an account to get more basic information they can't find, then post in the thread, then wait for a seller to PM them, you are absolutely insane. There is 50 other results on Google and 50 other similar sales threads. They will just look somewhere else and MAYBE come back to you if they can't find an answer. Have you ever sold anything ever? Under your logic, websites should have like a 100% contact or sales rate when people click their Google ads.

What people are saying is that people should answer questions via Private Message. How is that transparent? All answers to questions should be public. That is what transparency is. Like, you aren't even trying here. Do you know what transparent means?

The rest of your post doesn't even make sense. I know I beat all the trolls.

The votes are irrelevant because lots of people will vote against SMMnet simply because they don't like him. He could ask if BHW should give every user $50,000 salary and people will vote no.

First of all, you and @SMMnet both act like we (members) are unable to understand the OP.
I don't have enough of skills, words, vocabulary, will and English knowledge to compete with guys like you two are.
But, there is this user @Sherb who literally bashed @SMMnet , and there's nothing better to be seen under this thread.

Let's bring back our short history first:

I see so many people saying "just PM them" and that's not an ideal solution at all.

1) more content on indexed pages (marketplace threads) means more traffic for sellers and more traffic for BlackHatWorld.
2) lots of users have the same questions and lots of people don't have accounts. Most people will not sign up to ask a question, they will just leave if they don't see the answer. But, if they see the answer, and they want to buy the service, they will be more likely to sign up (if it's needed to buy the service).
3) Transparency is good for everyone.
4) We already have fake accounts bumping threads every day, I don't see how this would increase fake accounts. The proper solution for that is to tackle the underlying problem of fake accounts, not limit useful features.
5) I will support SMMnet just to make the trolls angry.

1) Nope. This means less bumps, less exposure, less traffic for sellers & BHW.
2) A user who is interested to buy something will create an account or contact seller via Skype etc.
(under every BST there is at least some history to be seen, which is enough for the buyer to make a decision)
3) Transparency is already there, lol. You ask Q and get an A.
4) It would not increase nothing in all scenarios, because you can always create a fake account. (lol)
5) You beat all trolls with your statements.

Alright, back to responding your last message.

"What you are saying isn't based on logic, you are just making stuff up."
Bullshit.

"It will NOT mean less bumps. The seller can still do the same amount of bumps every 24 hour period. It's an OPTION to not bump the thread when replying. How would it result in less traffic to BHW and the thread? It wouldn't. You are just lying."

The seller can do one bump per 24h, and it should even per 48 (rule update) because it brings more value to the seller and BHW.
Yes, I understand that you believe in the power of this "OPTION"
Let me show you the future:

1. Real time MANIPULATION
- With this "OPTION" forum is losing its main function: replies under threads, quotes.
- This "OPTION" creates a REAL TIME chat where all active users can ask for xxx amount of questions.
- To not make MANIPULATION happen, you will have to restrict BUMPS to buyers and sellers, both.
- Saying this, I mean: replies under replies (of all users) or no matter of the system, must stay silent.

2. Yes, LESS BUMPS (because you have to disallow bumps if you allow this shit)
- This idea is just speeding things up, while preventing organic advertising.
- You got historical BST threads to watch at. They work beautifully when it comes to bumps.
- Of course, some users won't read nothing, but every serious buyer, who care about his money, and who is potentially a subscriber will find time to check all replies.
- Updates, new prices, issues, it will come to that part with every service, you can't just go and make Q nonstop.
(this is the part where the seller is taking action, maintains his service)

Here, just take a look at this brutally correct text message: (facts rain baby)
Before I say my peace @SMMnet:

1) I am a former and future seller on BHW, so my response should apply.
2) I read your post several times, as well as all of your responses.
3) I don't care who started a thread, you don't tell me what the fuck to do, kid.
4) Someone's status on the forum should not play into whether or not their opinion matters.

I support the idea of having the second post of a BST thread to belong to the sales thread owner, allowing them permanent editing privileges in an FAQ format. I think the option for thread bumping should be increased to 48 hours. That "review copy please" posts should be bannable for everyone. That "PM sent", "order placed" and discount code related posts should also be considered spam and bannable.

There is NO reason that buyers should have to sift through pages upon pages of repetitive garbage on threads to get to the actual reviews of the product. The only posts that should be on a sales thread are legitimate questions, which can be responded to inside that second post FAQ, notices of changes to the service offering from the sales thread owner, and reviews from verified purchasers of the service, at a minimum of 100 words.

The Marketplace has gotten to the point where spamming is the only way to truly gain success unless you are willing to pay out the ass for a sticky thread. Even then, some sections have 15+ sticky threads that have their own internal bumping fights. "But you didn't read the thread, it said no bumping!" I don't give a fuck. You are one of the worst thread bumpers I have seen in my decade-plus viewership here.

I as a buyer don't want to sift through thousands of repetitive spam posts to get to what I want to see. Things like what you are mentioning @SMMnet would provide no benefit to the community, but would instead only serve to continue increasing the exposure of your own service, which you have alluded is the point of all of this.

4/5ths of the people who have voted in your poll have voted against your idea. But I'm sure you don't care, as you only want things that serve to progress your own brand's agenda, regardless of the voice of the community. We have had an extensive chat. I took the time to give you numerous suggestions. You ignored them all. You'll probably ignore this too.

"If you think users will create an account to get more basic information they can't find, then post in the thread, then wait for a seller to PM them, you are absolutely insane. There is 50 other results on Google and 50 other similar sales threads. They will just look somewhere else and MAYBE come back to you if they can't find an answer. Have you ever sold anything ever? Dude, sooner or later, everything happens for you. No matter of your profession.
If you want to get something badly, yes, you will have to come to the right place, sooner or later.
The world is a huge place, so the quality is highly appreciated.

Service on BHW do not even need to drop contact, it is optional. Every serious buyer will be forced to come.
You have no idea how many accounts were created on BHW just to purchase a single service.
You have no idea how many marketers, here and there, would pay %300 of price, because they make %500+.
Under my logic: what you give is what you get. Marketers are stupid and full of shit.
Nothing is relevant regarding services, as they might be reselling, offering poor skills, poor websites, poor paid traffic methods.

"What people are saying is that people should answer questions via Private Message. How is that transparent? All answers to questions should be public. That is what transparency is. Like, you aren't even trying here. Do you know what transparent means?"

I surely know what means transparency, and privacy as well.
Sometimes, or better, most of the time, buyers don't want to ask their questions public, because it could potentially result as a hint. However, transparency is all around, what more you need to see I wonder?

"The rest of your post doesn't even make sense. I know I beat all the trolls."
You are now at the top of trolls hill. Congrats.

"The votes are irrelevant because lots of people will vote against SMMnet simply because they don't like him. He could ask if BHW should give every user $50,000 salary and people will vote no."

Nothing that you are saying makes much sense in English. Maybe it makes sense in another language, but in English, no.

Sherb posted a long reply that is 90% discussing a completely different feature than the one SMMnet proposed. Then, he adds a few words saying the feature SMMnet proposed adds no benefit to the community, but he is factually wrong. The benefit is that customers can receive instantly replies to questions from sellers, publicly, where their answers are held out for the community to see. So, they are held accountable for their statements by the community. Other people with the same question don't have to ask it and wait for a response. And it doesn't bump the thread. It adds more relevant content to a publicly indexed page, making the page more attractive to Google and bringing more targeted traffic for both the seller and BlackHatWorld.

I really don't think you understand the proposal by SMMnet. It maintains the same feature of replies under threads and quotes. It doesn't create a real time chat at all. It's literally the exact same except it doesn't bump the thread.

This system doesn't FORCE people to ask or answer questions publicly. It's an option. People are already asking questions publicly. All this does is allow sellers to answer them publicly, without bumping their own thread, so that all potential buyers now have easy access to that answer. If someone is concerned about privacy, they can say "PM me" or they can PM the seller themselves if their account allows it. But, most questions are generic questions which don't require privacy. Again, this is just an OPTION. Nobody is FORCED to use it. If you don't use it, then nothing changes about your experience.

People ask questions in your thread: Thread is bumped.
People ask questions in thread using new option: Thread is bumped. Seller can only reply once every 24 hours.

People answer questions in your thread: Thread is bumped.
People answer questions in thread using new option: Thread is not bumped. Seller can reply instantly.

No man, you and your pal don't understand that this forum along with others do not run by itself.
There are very experienced and smart humans around who manage this forum. They take care of all stuff.
They also take care to stay up to date with any competition, so cut the bullshit with this terrible idea.

People answer questions in your thread: Thread is bumped.

So thread is NOT BUMPED while 'chat' conversation is going on using this "OPTION"
Who is stupid enough to do that?
Why would anybody want to hide something from bumping? To give it an hide option lol.

Forum need bumping all the time, you can't even understand it.
70% of every forum will ask for review copy,
70% won't read the 1st page,
and others who want to really ask something, can do it and they'll be granted with an answer under 24 hours.

What a nonsense, you already have a developed system that works perfect, a very simple one, and then this dude appears to say about option that 'should' be useful. LOL man, just RUN.

Man, YOU don't understand that the forum OWNER created this section to ask for ideas and feedback on how to improve the forum. Ultimately, if the owner doesn't like the idea and doesn't see the value in it after reading replies from people, they will not implement it. Already almost 20 people have said they would like to see this implemented. Most of the people who are voting against it have proven they do not understand how it would work or why it is useful with their replies.

"Why would anybody want to hide something from bumping?" Because you are not allowed to bump threads more than 1 time every 24 hours. That's the current rules. You are supposed to wait 1 day between replies and just reply to all questions at 1 time. So, if we implement this, sellers can STILL bump 1 time every 24 hours. But they can ALSO reply without waiting 24 hours, only it will not bump the thread. So the current system still exists, the ONLY thing that changes is an OPTION for sellers to reply without bumping.

"Forum need bumping all the time, you can't even understand it." Again man, I am sorry, you clearly don't understand the proposal at all. I understand English isn't your first language, but I have explained to you many times now. You really can't understand it, so you should stop trying to argue against it. Forum bumping will still stay the EXACT same. NOTHING will change. It's only an OPTION for marketplace sellers to reply without bumping. You check a box, you can reply without bumping. You uncheck a box, you reply and the thread is bumped. It's not PERMANENT to make your thread never bump.

The system doesn't work perfect. Already sellers have to wait 24 hours to post a reply. New users will just get bored and will not check back for replies. Buyers want INSTANT responses, and if we are already answering the question, we might as well answer publicly rather than in Private Message. Sure, seller can PM user, but why PM when we can have an option to reply publicly?

Give ONE reason why it's BAD to allow seller to have an option to reply without bumping thread.

It is just too long.

"Give ONE reason why it's BAD to allow seller to have an option to reply without bumping thread."

Man, I understand, LOL:
As a buyer, you come to thread, ask Q and mark box to not bump thread with your post and let the seller respond. Or no matter what process correctly is... it is fucking similar and still disabling BUMP LOL.

How about just using DM/PM? Or ask to be PM'ed if no 15 posts.
Anybody can reply back when he is being PM'ed.

It is bad because you are disabling other services, such: PM and normal Thread reply system.

"The system doesn't work perfect. Already sellers have to wait 24 hours to post a reply. New users will just get bored and will not check back for replies. The seller can respond via PM providing his other contacts, he is allowed to do so, means you are LYING.
If user gets bored, it probably means that service is promising. User can do order without questions in many cases.

You can update FAQ with all new questions or make a fucking landing page of PM prints.

If users are not interested to read, then they are surely even less interested to buy something.
You constantly trying to force that part with what users want, you know nothing about that part.
