Whats the best method for lead generation in facebook ?

It seems like your audience targeting might be too broad, causing higher costs. Narrow down your targeting to more specific demographics or interests that align with your ideal customer.

Facebook updates its algorithm frequently. Check your keywords more, so those keywords are no longer relevant now.

Hey mate, been there with local biz ads. Your costs are climbing for 3 main reasons:

  1. Your audience is too broad
Age 25-60 + all genders = FB wastes money showing ads to people who'll never buy
  1. Lead methods have hidden costs
  • WhatsApp leads = Cheap but full of tyre-kickers
  • FB Lead Forms = More expensive but better quality
  1. Your audiences are fatigued
  • If you've been running similar ads for months, costs WILL rise
  • Duplicate your campaign and test new creatives (before/after project pics work great)
Lead costs always get expensive - you need to constantly refresh your approach

FB currently has many updates and changes, which affect advertising results. Always update your campaign to achieve maximum performance.

Review the area you are targeting, it may be too small or overlap with other areas. Also, check and update the keywords you are using, as they may no longer be relevant to the current situation.

Prices will keep going up. In 2 years time no matter what you do, the prices will be $2 per lead.

Your job is to improve your business; go after better paying clients (willing to pay more), get paid sooner (as soon as they are leads, offer a One Time Offer), get paid more often (recurring payments).... Build a better brand, get higher conversion rate, make a better offer.

Use Pixel to filter out old customers who have no potential. Gradually your campaign will become better.

Always change your campaign content to make it better and make customers interested in your product.

There are quite a few ways to fix it thanks as I have learned a lot too

sounds like your audience may have saturated or costs have shifted , you might try narrowing interests, refreshing creatives , or retargeting your audiences .

targeting basic audiences or pages helps in generate leads on your offer, this can be done by posting on related niche groups/pages for other profiles engagements to gain leads.

Try sharing your services to groups that are inscope of your industry

Could be a wide range of reasons . the meta algo had some changed and the CPL for most of my camps have been affected as well . apart from that make sure you keep changing creatives and dont create ad fatigue . Create a lookalike audience from the leads you have collected before for cheaper CPL , and don't forget to check the stats and see which placements are working better and paused the ineffective once's

Best of luck

Constantly change your campaign content to make it better and keep customers interested in your products.

Narrow your audience, test creative, refresh creative, or retarget interested audiences

The situation of potential customer costs doubling compared to before is a worrying problem. In addition to market competition, it is possible that the customers you are targeting have seen your ad too many times, the interaction is reduced and the ad abandonment is increased, leading to increased monitoring efficiency and costs.

If you’re running Facebook (Meta) ads and notice performance drop-offs — sudden spikes in CPM, lower CTR, or unstable conversions — don’t panic right away. According to Meta's official guidance, short-term fluctuations are completely normal as long as your long-term averages remain stable.
But when poor results last more than a few days, it’s time to dig deeper. Based on official Meta documentation, here are 8 core factors that influence ad performance, especially for brand awareness campaigns.
1. Audience Redefined or Changed
2. Industry Competition & Market Shifts
3. Competitor Activity
4. Seasonality & Holidays
5. Time of Day Variability
6. Geographic Targeting
7. Bidding Strategy
8. Ad Format Matters
These are Meta-confirmed factors — not just speculation.

Such broad targeting can initially be very cheap if FB targets you correctly and people have the need to convert, but if not, your costs will start to increase because Facebook is inherently random targeting. If you want to improve your conversion rate, you need to target deeper and a little more specifically.

Your target audience is too broad. You need to focus on analyzing your target audience's demographics and interests to find an effective customer base to reduce the cost of reaching them.
noted. will check
