What is the bounce server for ?

Hi all,

I'm currently using an emailing app that it set with my SMTP server.

It's already set i've sent a few emails for testing, it's working good !

However, i keep reading that bounce server is important, i searched in the net can't understand realy what it's for ? Do i realy need it ? Can somebody please explain to me what it's for or how it can be setup ?

A bounce server/email account is used to catch all the mails that are sent to invalid recipients and bounced back. You can then use that list to filter/clean all the invalid recipients from your list so you don't keep sending emails to those addresses and ruin your IP/domain.

Wow believe or not Google couldn't give me a better and simpler explanation than yours Thank you so much !

But what if i use a mass email verifier online, will it achieve the same result as a bounce server ? Does the bounce server detects emails of blacklisters organisations ?

Regarding the setup of the bounce server, since i already have a SMTP server set, i send emails with [email protected], should i just create another email from the same SMTP like for ex: [email protected] for bouncing, is that the right way to do it ?
