Hello everyone,

I'm embarking on a journey to the other side.

My goal is to obtain enough money to rent a camper for 3 months and travel around my country, the US, for 3 months straight, all expenses covered, fuel - food etc.

What a dream...

I've been able to travel already, periodically, no longer than 1 month at a time, in a rental car, within the last 3 years, by experimenting with another business adventure I created.

Now, I am pursuing another idea...

Content monetization.

I've chosen a niche and I have a rough idea about how I will obtain traffic and monetize my website.

After about 10 hours of research spanning about 4-5 days, I identified a name and registered 2 domain name variations.

Today my goal will be to complete these tasks:

  • purchasing a website theme w/ associated add ons or plugins
  • using a A.I. tool to help with initial 10 blog posts for the blog
  • making sure SEO is good such as meta & geo tags
  • setting up analytics
  • Editing main content
  • placing ad blocks on pages (I have popads account & monetag to start) ...
  • submit request for Adsense
  • placing affiliate ads (I'm using clickbank to start because they have alot of offers in my niche)
  • Setting up keyword alerts on various platforms that notify me across 9 social channels
  • setting up either a social share content locker or url/content locker with cpagrip or both... maybe a subscribe/email locker.
  • using a tool to identify trending social posts containing my keyword to kickstart the traffic.
  • using A.I. to create video that I will post on my social profiles such as Youtube etc.

The plan of action (could change along the way!):

Traffic source will be free... commenting on trending and new social content associated with my niche/keyword. LOTS OF WORK!

So, to kick off the new website, once I complete it, I'll be using a tool that scans pretty much all social channels and search engines for my keywords, then I'll be visiting each site/social post and leaving a comment about my website or about my social page (on the same social media site) that links to my website.

I will be working on this EVERY DAY along with my day job. So some days I will post late... but I will be updating every day!

As soon as I start seeing traffic data or sales data I will post the screenshots here to share the progress!

Looks like a great goal for your journey, hope you nail it now.
 
I purchased a html theme from codecanyon but started having issues with the code.

To save time, I decided to buy the wordpress version. I uploaded the zip file today, but there is an error message saying a missing style.css file.

"The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet."

I sent an email to the developer... waiting for a reply.
 
Which niche are you targeting for monetization?

Consider trying Clickadu, not just PopAds and Monetag! Clickadu offers a range of options that might align well with your audience and monetization goals.

I've stumbled across Clickadu once. I remember they had a $100 deposit but my bank blocked the transaction. I still have an account there. Thank you for the reminder!

I actually made the mistake of purchasing a plugin instead of a theme. I figured it out now and building the site from a free wordpress theme twenty twenty four.
 
*UPDATE

I completed most of my site design. For today, I at least got it mostly where I envisioned it to be.

Logo is done.

Tomorrow I will be trying the A.I. tool to generate 10 initial blog posts.

I will be attempting to start the entering of 100's of data into mysql database tomorrow as well. (hopefully I can find a quicker solution!)

I will also try to complete creating the content locker and exit popup.

I'm thinking since my website is essentially a database, I will set up a user registration to access the site and the data within it. That will keep names and emails I can market to in the near future.

The manual outreach marketing plan - is still the plan.

Will update tomorrow!
 
I learned that I can only generate 5 articles for free with the AI tool. I generated 1 article and it produced good content including images. It's a useful tool and you might find it useful too, its called seowriting dot ai.

I tried to verify my new site with monetag with their new wordpress plugin but it didn't work. I can't create ads code either within the plugin. I emailed support and waiting to hear back.

I'll be creating all of my social media profiles for the site.

I think now i'll start off with locking the entire site with a URL locker.

I'd like to collect emails too (that's why I have the exit intent popup) but I'm also thinking about content locking a HTML block with an email opt-in...

If anyone has experience with content locking a HTML block with an email opt-in, I'm open for your suggestions!

Nice man, so happy for you! Its always nice to see someone be passionate about something they enjoy! I wish you good luck and i will be waiting for the updates!
 
Is 3 months enough to cover entire US ? Or will you travel only to major tourist destinations. Travelling is something everyone should do because it expands the knowledge.
 
I feel a little behind, but i'm making progress.

I haven't heard back from monetag yet ... ... ... so, I will be inserting the code manually instead to verify my site.

I've started manually entering data into my database, alot more to go!

I work full time 8-9 hours a day at my day job (outside in the sun - labor intensive).

I work sunrise to sundown on saturday (outside in the sun - labor intensive).

I will be working on sundays starting next week sunrise to sundown (also outside in the sun & labor intensive)

All separate jobs.

My main transportation is e-bike (no vehicle).

Anytime I have left, goes into this website content monetization project.

Today I manually entered in over 700 pieces of information into my database. Much more to go!

You might be wondering, what the heck is this guy doing? I know it may sound unconventional but I will reveal most of what I am doing once I begin receiving traffic and making money.

I'm focusing on completing the database entries first because it is the most time consuming.

SO today I have worked on this for 10 hours and I am trying to push through another 2-5 hours more.

yay.
 
Wow. I'm making some headway, but I have to admit.. I AM DEAD TIRED!

Still manually entering data and almost halfway there.

For the people who are looking for "the method" all of the time, here is a visual:

client visits site --> client chooses option --> site redirects to broad data page --> broad data page is visible for approximately 15 seconds then content locker locks the content --> client completes offer to unlock the broad data page ($1-$3 per email submit) --> broad data page reappears with ads around "the broad data" --> upsell EXACT data as a - yearly - subscription at $5 per month ($60 / year) per client.

In a nutshell, this is what I am working towards.

In order to knock this out, I am not sleeping until all the data is entered in.

I foresee that I will be done around 4 or 5 am tomorrow. It's 7:30 here now...

That means I'll be working the day job with zero rest. I think i can do it.

I will at least be able to move on to the next step... I can't do much until all of the data is in the database anyways.

I'm sipping a NOS energy drink throughout the night and will probably pick one tomorrow morning too.

Good luck with your journey, you have an awesome goal!
But... it will be a better journey if you still enjoy it, so don’t "kill" urself. Avoid getting to the point where you lose motivation because you are too tired or stressed.
