I am not an admin, so I cannot answer that question.

Here is @I know SEO's response, from when I asked the same thing back in July.

I have seen a number of threads on the same topic in the last month, since I've been a bit more active on BHW.

I'm actually worn out from some financial, health, business, and personal issues I've been dealing with since August 2017. The work I do on the forum is a mere straw in comparison.
I'm sorry, I know that I've been slacking in this department. There are posts I've wanted to respond to, like this local SEO question, but I haven't had the time to do it. I'll set some time aside now and do it after I post this message.

Also, only in-house mods are paid.

No, obviously if I am not an in-house mod, I am an outhouse mod.

Therefore, I am moderating from an outhouse.

I'm sure you could find senior members that are not selling services. You could create a moderator who's it is to manage the deputized reviewers, to help them out, make sure there's not conflicts and all your other concerns. 1 person doing that and having 20 reviewers under him/her would still free up a lot of time for you guys. Not saying it would be that straight forward... but if you really wanted to, you could find a way to make it work.

    Anyways. Just my thoughts.

    Good day.

ZW - dont sweat it , the rules are set by DD, and followed through by the mods.
    mods come, mods go
some forget 2 market mods have gone BB and SEO, this is a forum and a business
but sht happens , sometimes for the better .

if no1 else will say it, i will. with no full time market places mods.
a hand full of forum mods, 2 admins, people, give the owners and mods a break.
they work long day jobs and some work bhw for free.

sure theres times things go slow, but what u gonna do? non of us here payed
the money DD for bhw. bhw is in minor transition sht happens , wait be patient .

just chill, we pay to sell on bhw, but that gives us 0 right to say how its run
and what should change, pretty sure when shts about to get done DD will
    chime in eventually .

we pay to sell - that doesnt mean we get a say.

    Sorry to hear that.

The second statement was aimed at in-house mods specifically, with other ranked members being the focus of the latter part.

Ehh not really. search this over the last few months and their is plenty of rich reviews. I saw one or two one liners, but most provide real value, unfortunately though they aren't going to give you SEO advice :)

I'm quite disappointed that you think that the Admins would make a decision that was not in the best interest of the forum and not act objectively.

My respect for you is in the waning phase and I'm not close to happy that my thought process is heading that way as I thought you were one of the up and coming superstars.

Merely an observation. If that’s not the case then, the timing was just very coincidental.

I said I'd close it if it devolved. Some of this is pretty poisonous and goes way beyond cynical. In fact I think we've probably gone full circle back to tin foil hat again.

See what I mean about conspiracy theories? I like to think I've got a fair sense of how things are likely to come across on the forum. This one.. took me aback, if I'm honest.

So - just to clarify: I really don't like it when mods get singled out for criticism or attack. We've now had two mods disparaged and used as an argument to further the whole "manipulative management" conspiracy. They volunteer their time to help manage the forum and they do an amazing job, far above and beyond what we have any right to expect. I'm profoundly grateful to all of them for the difficult job they do here - for free - whilst taking abuse and being argued with. Yet they take it on the chin and it doesn't stop any of them treating members fairly with patience and understanding.

And to get back to this point in particular: there really wasn't that much fuss about t0mmy resigning. Most of us have strong opinions and they won't always be in agreement but this is a normal part of life. @t0mmy's been an incredibly valuable member of the forum, as a seller, a contributor, a mod and an exec. Not only has he provided great content and advice but, like the other mods, he's also given up a lot of his time for free to support the forum and make it a better place.

That's a classic post hoc fallacy right there. @BassTrackerBoats deserved his promotion twice over. Regardless of anything else happening in his personal or professional life, he spends a huge amount dealing with reports, helping members, helping us out with the marketplace and still engages on the forum. I'm seriously disappointed that you've chosen to diminish this by suggesting it was done for any other reason than to recognise the massive contribution he makes to the forum on a daily basis.

I really don't understand why anyone thinks we'd need to "deflect" any controversy in this manner. BHW is an internet forum. We're not a shadowy secret agency or a government department that needs to spin and manipulate events in this way. It's almost flattering that you'd think we have the resources or time to choreograph events to deceive anyone in this way. Almost.

There's more I could answer in your post but, at this point, I'm done with the argument. I can't help noticing that the discontent and accusations always seem to come mostly from the same small group of people. There's over 800,000 members on here and I'm not going to take away time from supporting them to reassure people who won't ever be satisfied. However, there's been a few constructive suggestions here and there:

That's a really good idea. We've been working to make the transition process from newbie to regular member as easy as possible. This is something that could well be integrated into this - thank you for the suggestion.

As always, any suggestions or constructive feedback posted in this section are appreciated but I think this particular thread has run its course now. Closed.
