Strategy for the long term in Instagram and creating value around it

    Hello everyone!

    I have one Instagram account with around 8,5k followers. I am aware that It isn't much. However, I am working in a very small niche. Luxury of an specific country of only around 7 million habitants and I've been active on the account since around September. I am also a full time business student, so I don't have that much time to give it either but one post a day and following/unfollowing around 300-400 users a day close to that specific niche. All my followers are real and genuine. This holidays I gained around 3,5k followers in a month due to having more time spent on it, but in other hand that has affected my engagement. Probably it is because of more aggressive following and unfollowing, and due the account has grown people just follow it without that much interest in the content. I'm also having some problem with the content im posting, because it is kind of hard to find.
    However, now that I have described my situation a little bit lets get to my concerns. When I started my idea was to start monetizing at around 10k contacting directly companies operating on my specific niche, but I've come to realize that the following amount is not even close to being able to convince small companies to market trough my account. Also, I am into it for the LONG TERM. I am not looking to really get any money out of it when studying. Mainly I would put the money back into it and treat it like more business-a-like.

    I have come across some of ideas to from where to go;

    1. Create a own product, possibly a clothing line of hoodies etc. This would be very time consuming and require some bigger form of monetary investment. (I have around 6k to invest if needed, but I would prefer not to). Then market these products trough Instagram and other more conventional ways.
    2. Start a blog in the same niche. (This is something I'm more leaning on, but should I start it on for example blogspot or own domain? Considering SEO etc? Im not tech sawy.)
    3. Starting to contact companies after around 15k for selling marketing shoutouts? This I have a hard time making sense of the price point I would be asking for. My niche is very small, not really competition etc. My engagement rate is at its lowest around 6% and goes up to 10% in the best shots. I've also had questions from pretty big travel blogs, for example one of 4 million annual readers to make some sort of collaboration. Sadly, I really couldn't create any value for them.
    4. Selling directly services for companies to do their social media marketing, because usually these small and new companies that operate on this niche don't do it right or are too lazy doing it.

    So I would like to take this to the next level, but I am a little confused of how to. Bear in mind that seriously the niche im working in is very small and the "biggest player" has around 110k followers and its not even on the exactly same niche. Hard to describe, but I don't really want to give it away publicly here either. I know I am not going to monetize this anytime soon, but I would like to grow some momentum already. My dream would be being able to live of this thing after I've done studying in two years. This or something this leads me to.

    what about drop shipping? find a relevant product on Ali express and advertise to your followers.. I would wait until you've built up a bigger following tho. Once your confident the product will sell you could begin ordering product in larger quantities
