[SEO DEAD] After This Update

SEO in not DEAD. google after update all high competition keyword and low quality content finish. target only low competition keyword and high quality content.

But low-comp keywords are easier for AI to answer, like how-to questions like "do i need tools to change a car battery"

It is already being answered by a top snippet but after the update, it will take way more real estate on the SERP and then you still have videos and advertisements, its nuts...

Are dead to those who don't know the meaning of the term "TOOL". Look at human history, son. Many things was invented for centuries, and the thing keeps rolling.
Just wait for the "Asteroid" Impact. This will end all things soon and faster.

The only thing that remains consistent about SEO is its inconsistency - but that's what makes it such a fascinating field to watch and learn.
SEO may have died a hundred deaths, but like a phoenix rising from the ashes, it always comes back stronger than before! -- MKSKS 14th May 2023 :D :p

Exactly. And it has been that way since Hummingbird, ten years ago. Now, this new update is a strange beast altogether. I'm not sure we can still ride it. The US update still hasn't been deployed in all European countries. I wonder who can see it in Western Europe? Is it currently deployed in Germany or the United Kingdom?
Coincidentally, I'm from Germany and we don't have the new layout yet.

Nobody knows what is going to happen, anyone who claims to be so sure of what is going to happen is lying, this is something new, I know we've heard countless prophesies of SEO dying which never came to pass, but this, well, we shouck checkback in the next six months, for now we watch.

Even though I'm German as well - I live in Cyprus and it's not there either ;)
I think, google will try to handle privacy problems before bringing it to EU, regarding the problems, openAI allready has...

It is still in Google labs, you have to live in the USA and sign up for it to become a beta tester...

my sites gained rankings in almost 3 out of 7 niche after this update

Despite all of this, SEO is very much alive in my corner of the woods, definitely not dead. If its dead for you then you're obviously doing something wrong and reading into it too much. SEO is powering all my websites and the money rolling in is very sweet and beautiful.

SEO must be a cat - it's died multiple times already. Is this it's 9th life?
Exactly! Reminds me of back in black.
got nine lives
Cat's eyes
Abusin' every one of them and running wild!

The majority freak out after every big update. There's no need to panic. Learn, adopt, iterate, keep going. SEO is not dead, it's just constantly changing.

It's possible that getting traffic could become more difficult, especially with the rise of AI-generated content by Google potentially decreasing click-through rates. However, while some may see this as a negative, there are still opportunities for success. I would love to hear different perspectives on the matter.
