I was having a website in 2013 website was for selling social media services i soled some services i ranked some keywords then my domain expires i did not renew it in 2018

some Chinese person buy it now again its available to buy if i buy it now will it give me any benefit will some of my old keywords will be still ranked somewhere in google?

If used by Chinese user, you have to re-check the backlink profile of the website using Ahrefs and make sure no spammy backlinks are pointing to the website, otherwise the site becomes useless.

Still the wayback machine won't show you the backlink profile for the website.

You need to see what the backlinking situation is as to the first thing you do but odds are that if it was ranking back in whatever year and not maintained a steady stream of backlinks on a regular basis it will not rank for anything that you used to rank for.

Link velocity matters; content on the site matters and it sounds like the content is not as it was and I would bet the backlinking is not as it should be.

what is the best way to identify spammy link?
When you translate the chinese anchor text using google translate.. you will realise it's just unrelated words mixed together that cant form a sentence.. gibberish.. or if that anchor text is being repeated across many referring domains which means your domain has been linked by a chnese PBN network.. also spam

I would avoid that,
Unless you have some really good links pointing to the domain, it's not worth even trying

Well if it was used as a chinese site chances are it got the infected with the virus (Spam Virus not Covid :D ). Most likely it has been used as a pbn and i would stay away from that kind of domain.

It's most likely been used as a pbn that has been spammed to death so I would pass.
Not worth you can get a new domain or even a good expired one to start.

Check link profile and as BTB says link velocity matters, also that domain not work like as previous. Again you have to invest time but for better results find any expired domain with clean profile and history is better option.
