I used to have a general news autoblog. I pretty much forgot about it and let it die. But it did attract a bit of search traffic, like 100 to 150 sessions per month. Traffic was growing at the time I abandoned the site. In the old days, I believe the approach was to run lots and lots of autoblog sites and the total traffic would be significant.
