Damn is it still not working? Damn worse timing as I needed to create few websites this week. Going through other places that I used to use for free before this
@Festinger , thanks for the update, really unfortunate situation for you and for us, but don’t let it get to you.
(A bottle of rum works wonders ). I’ve always been satisfied with the service, things can always happen
(just ask my mom and the milkman, I’m the result ).
I’ll see it when everything is up and running again!
Good luck,
Not sure the scale of your operations, but it would be better for your business (and us customers) if you actually owned the infrastructure. Providers won't let you host GPL because they either don't understand the license or prefer not to deal with DMCAs and spreading it across multiple servers facilitates DDOS attacks and increases the difficulty of maintenance. Police won't raid your house either because it's totally legally to distribute GPL code. And owning the infrastructure could help you explain in detail what went wrong and avoid being silence or giving some surface level notices like outage or ddos attacks. It'll be cheaper in the long run since you own it you can scale it as you see fit without outrages AWS prices. We operate in a particular business where our backend and server handling infrastructure is connected through multiple dedicated servers.
Unfortunately, the connected servers suffer from a significant hardware issue caused by an ongoing DDOS attack in the last three days.
Due to privacy reasons, I will not disclose which data center we are using, but we will shortly be relocating our servers to their new destination.
Do you have any place you can refer me to I'm in a mess rn need a certain pluginDamn is it still not working? Damn worse timing as I needed to create few websites this week. Going through other places that I used to use for free before this
I requested a refund 24 hours ago but no response.
A reply would be nice.Question not answered; how long does it take for new servers to arrive (is it few days, weeks, months?) What time to setup them?
Does this means that users with active subscriptions will be able to perform updates on installed plugins? We’re moving our servers to a brand-new data center by the end of this week for better speed and reliability
That sounds pretty bad.Hi everyone,
We wanted to let you know about a temporary situation with our services.
Due to a legal claim from Automattic (WordPress) and WooCommerce regarding trademark usage and GPL compliance, we are forced to hold our offerings to prevent the risk of fines temporarily.
Our lawyers have requested the court's decision to deny Automattics and WooCommerce's claims that contradict the open-source philosophy.
The Court hearing will occur on 2 October 2024, and a verdict is expected soon.
In the meantime, we are negotiating with Automattic and WooCommerce to get back on track as soon as possible.
But don’t worry—this is a brief pause, and we’re not going anywhere!
Deleted member 752298 is still 100% dedicated to providing GPL-compliant, open-source plugins and themes for WordPress, and we’re confident in the legal process.
What’s coming next?
