New Flipping Site

I'm back with a great announcement. We will be launching the beta part of Flipurr this Friday, Jan 14th 2011.

I am looking for "5" beta testers.

Requirements:
Must be online via, skype or msn to talk about bugs etc.
Must be willing to fool around with the system for a few hours and test elements of it I ask you to.

I am looking for only a few beta testers. All beta testers will receive a complimentary listing once the system is launched.

I wish I had the time to help you out, I love rooting for the underdog. My one piece of advice is to try to think of something besides price to compete on. No one wins when you base your business on price.

For example, check out Bido dot com. They only sell domain names, not established websites, but they have a pretty cool feature that allows John Doe to vote sites into an auction. Mr. Doe then receives a very very low percentage of the sale (if there is any). I talked to the owners one day and they said some people were making like $100/mo just voting good sites into the marketplace.

Subsequently they shut their doors and recently reopened them so you should check them out if nothing but for jogging the right side of your brain.

Its always good to have competition and if you deliver on your promises I'll certainly be using your services.

We are competing not only on price, but features. The whole platform is based on user comfort and user usability. We will offer features that flippa can't.

One major feature is the affiliate revenue sharing. All you have to do is get people to sign up under you. If they buy or sell a domain, you will receive a percentage of the listing fees. So even if you never buy or sell a domain in your life, but your referrals do, you will make a residual income.

Seller features are too immense to list. Please visit the blog at flipurr, I am sure you will enjoy it.

I have been busy writing tons of programming code, as it stands right now, we are at 75% done. I just keep coming up with new ideas and want to add them. Call me crazy but I am building this site for us as a community. I could case less if it ever makes a profit as long as the platform works.

The problem with these sites is that sellers outweight buyers. It's near impossible to sell domains for what they're worth without seeking out endusers.

Update on the status.

I have now written code to grab thumbnails of the sites, which is actually a lot harder than it should of been. Since I refuse to depend on another's service, I had to write all the code for that.

The other thing I had to write was code to do phone verification. I looked at a few options and most were 20cent per call, whether it verified or not. So what I did was take an voip account of mine and wrote some windows based software to call out and do the verification. I have fully tested it today and it works extremely well. Now it is linked with the server that will run flipurr.

So a few big things are now done. I am finalizing the design and finishing up some more coding modules and this bad boy should be ready soon.

I am working on the affiliate earnings module today for everyone to make some money.
I hope you guys like the fact you can earn upto 25% on the listing fees, both ways. Whether the referral buys or sells, you the affiliate will make money for just having them under you.

Also going to be offering affiliate prizes for the first few affiliates to reach 100 dollars in listings from their referrals. I have an ipad prize, ipod prize and a few others. Might add a small laptop in there too. This should be some incentive to get people under you as referrals.

Anyway, enough with the rant, back to coding this bad boy.

Can't wait for this to launch. It will need to feel trustworthy and safe though
