"We?ve been hearing reports from within the SEO community that a significant Google update happened starting this past Friday throughout the weekend. Google tells us there was no Panda update over the weekend but is not confirming or denying if there was another type of update over the weekend.

Google did however tell us they plan on releasing a Panda refresh within a week or two. So do expect a Panda refresh sometime by the end of this month, leading into early next month.

We did ask Google twice about the reports of a Google update. We asked them if they can tell us if it wasn?t Panda, was it something else related to Penguin, EMD, the page layout algorithm or something else. Google gave us a non-committal statement reading:

We make over 500 improvements to Google Search each year so we can surface high-quality information for our users.
Again, there appears to have been some sort of Google update over the weekend but Google would not confirm or deny it with us."

Joy more bullshit. I can't wait to get out of the SEO field and get into media buys and social traffic more.

This is starting to sound like the boy who kept crying wolf!

What? Are we supposed to be impressed with Matt Cutts and Google Web Spam team?

The truth is, genuine spammers are laughing and have been so since this Penguin and Panda debacle started.

Matt Cutts has not impacted genuine SPAMMERS; he has slammed people who were mostly playing by Google rules and people who were dabbling in BH and people trying to learn BH.

But he has not fazed true spammers.

Google did what was the most suitable for their users. The purpose of those algo changes weren't to hit the spammers but to give quality results. but that is true that spammers were hit because they weren't sticking to Google guidelines. However, There are still plenty of fishes in the sea and i hope Matt comes up with another magic wand!

    all idiotic updates...
ppl say networks dont work ... i am still ranking sites using them ...
Do what you did in a better and efficient way -- change with changes... But dont stop believing in what you did and what worked (completely -- as it might still work) ....
