Making Money with Youtube w/o creating Unique Content?

I've been doing a lot of reading on this topic today, and I was wondering if this is possible? How do you make money with Youtube while avoiding making unique content? Are there ways in which you can simply copy a video and profit? My main worries are that without unique content you can't monetize your Youtube account, so that leaves PPD and CPA. Without unique content, there comes the question- What am I promoting, selling, content-locking, etc? Any and all advice would be supremely appreciated.

To be clear, the answer to my question could be as simple as a basic example that everyone knows of already. Make this video to promote this thing that you then content lock or put up as a PPD. I'm not asking for a how to or anything, just a basic example that I can then use to make my own method.
 
While it is actually possible to "steal" other's contents and just spin videos to make it look original for youtube, you should consider if promoting this kind of content is actually better than create your own.
Marketing a video costs time and money, and in my opinion leaving the copywriting part to someone who actually forgot to watermark their video may not be the wisest choice.

I understand that Original Content would of course be better. However, I don't really want to put myself out there and start creating original stuff. I am interested in simply making a small passive income from multiple methods that add up to a decent salary. Is something like this possible? Is there a journey thread which would help me? I figure that if I ever get caught in the act of stealing content the worse they can do is shut down my google account. Then, I simply reupload the content on another channel and start over?
 
I have personally only used my own content...I wouldn't really be comfortable using someone elses content...

By your own content, what do you mean? Personal blogs, animation, text only videos? The only kind of thing I can see myself doing is text only videos to advertise something on a CPA network. Is this what you are doing?

It is possible but aiming for unique content will get you stable results in the long term.

When people say unique content, I get confused. I mean, what are people creating?
 
You dont have to make original content.
Find a vendor with a decent video..ask them if its okay to use their footage..normally they are fine.
Watermark and upload..its whether your video ranks not if the footage is original.
I would rather have duplicate content thats water mark that ranking than original video content thats not..
 
You can use creative common video, but they are not very good and attract most traffic. But if you do well keyword analytics, searching video and SEO then Yes you can monetize

the short answer is yes you can just download and edit any existing video, the well made point that I also agree with is make your own content. in the end its faster, easier and will get you further..... you don't have to put your face in the videos....

Yeah, after hearing all these responses, I think I may start doing text videos or something. Do you have any ideas of how to monetize though? I mean, besides adsense lol.
 
text videos are highly unsuccessful from my experience.. i use to do them exclusively on a specific youtube channel.. they received very little to no views... so i decided to start downloading others videos and reuploading and my views positively changed for sure

It's definitely possible to make a passive income with the methods. One major thing you need to be careful with is wasting efforts ranking quantity. It'd be hard to make a passive income if you are continuously making churn and burn videos.
 
In short

quality content >> slideshows with still images and music > scraped content >> text videos
