I just made a highly customized blogger blog (it looks like it's a wordpress blog) and in my first 25 hours I broke over 4,000+ pageviews. Most of it was Reddit traffic so I only made $1.38 on adsense.

I have some mylikes ads on the site and those generated about $0.40 in total so I rounded it out to $2.

I'm not sure where I should go from here. I'm getting between 20 - 40 likes on facebook but the traffic is shit. I generated some comments from the the reddit post. I want to capitalize on Reddit but $2 isn't really motivating me. Even if I scale it and attempt to work on 10 blogs, that's a lot of work for $20. Keep in mind I'm writing high quality posts. When I say high quality I mean high quality, I've blogged for a site that get's 1M uniques monthly and I had a few articles go viral on stumble upon.

I'm wondering if my RPM is going to go up, because attempting to bank on clicks when you're working with Reddit is a joke. I did notice that with my facebook marketing the CTR was high, but the amount of work that goes into that doesn't add up.

If I had money I could really figure out how to market the crap out of the blog but I'm interested in some guerilla style ways that I can increase my viewership. If there's one thing I learned about the web it's that content is King and placement is Queen and without both you'll never find a kingdom.

Edit: I forgot to mention that even though I have 5,000 page views my Adsesne is only reporting a little over 1,000.

Great job, why dont you put up some CPA or Affiliate offers? I think these would be more profitable.

I want to, I just want to do something that isn't too time consuming. What do you suggest? More posts? More blogs? Either way, it's a lot of work. lol I think multiple blogs may work because then maybe I can post to Reddit more often.

I could have bet money that someone was going to say that (if I had any money). I've looked into CPA offers before but I don't know. What are your opinions on them?

That's pretty cool. My goal was to generate $10 a day on this one and then create 9 more that do the same to make $100 daily. Are your views coming from search?

BTW... does Adsense take a while to update? I'm still not sure what's going on what these views.

What a start!

Really, you think so?

Does Reddit accept adult related articles?

Yeah, but they really have to be of substance and not just blog spam, you just have to label it NSFW and make sure the subreddit allows such posts. There are many adult subreddits although they are geared more towards images though.

HOw explicit can the post be so that reddit doesn't ban me?

You wont be banned just make sure it's marked NSFW and is relevant to the subreddit. You also want to make sure that it's not spammy. I shouldn't have to say this but it also cannot be illegal. lol

great start op! it took me a fu**ing month to make $2/day when i started with adsense

This IS a good start, but you know adsense is probably the most ineffective way to make money if you have a product available IN MY HUMBLE OPINION..
Dont get me wrong if you have a general news site that gets a ton of traffic then adsense is the way to go BUT if you are blogging in a niche why dont you sell items related to that niche via affiliate programs?

For instance if you are in the money saving niche then you can sell a clickbank product about saving money or a payday loan offer, if you are in the cell phone niche you can do an amazon program selling accessories etc.. You get the idea right?

That traffic could turn into quite a bit of money if the product is highly relevant to what you blog is about.

haha thanks. My second day wasn't as successful but it's probably because I didn't write any new articles. I got another 1k views though and some change. The thing is a worked for a pretty big website that got over 1,000,000 uniques a month. They have a big office in NYC so they have to be making cash. I seen some of their ad offers, some for $15k some for $30k.

I want a piece of that!

Well a nice start and keep it up .... have u tried stumbleupon?

Yes! I used to blog for a site that got 1,000,000 uniques a month and a few of my posts went viral on stumbleupon so naturally I tried to apply that to this blog. So far I've got nothing from stumble.

Nice start on day one....! A moral booster for IM ...... hope this will continue to bring on huge success for you.......

not bad.. good luck!:)

Thank you to the both of you. It continues to bring in pennies without me even doing anything. I haven't written anymore articles I did some promotion. I'm planning on attempting to bring more traffic from pinterest and twitter.

I have also been banking on mylikes. I have two accounts that are averaging a few clicks per post.

Congrats! You shot right out of the gates. Now scale it up. :)
