Made $2 first day blogging

Think big -- get rid of adsense and mylikes. You'll thank me later.

Think big -- like a business, stop thinking in little $1.00 terms. Think in terms of starting a blog that makes $100/month, then scale it up.

yea what he said. look at zen19's journal thread. $1 at a time is chump change and you cant meaningfully scale that without exposing yourself to the big G slapping you hard

Reddit traffic tend not to be the most convertable. They read, don't click

This is exactly right. Better off working with affiliate offers, creating a product to market (think ebook or something equally simple).

Sounds Great OP!
Could you send me your Skype in a PM? I have some questions.. Only if you don't mind ofcourse! Keep it up!

Sure I will send it over shortly.

Well done, that's a good start. Keep pushing forward to earn even more money. Earning the first few dollars are the hardest part, it gets easier from there. Don't worry about making mistakes, you'll learn from them. A lot of it's trial and error, so just go for it!

Thanks. I'm starting to see that, things are looking like they will be going well.

Make something unique and sell it

Great advice. I have made something unique and I am starting to sell it.

I don't know if it's smart to 'get rid' of adsense and mylikes, but I can understand what you mean by not focusing on them so much. I have already begun to think in terms of selling services and affiliate marketing, that is people being affiliates for me. ;)

you're preaching to the choir, but thank you for the sound advice.

promoting CB products is way better than earning through google adsense sometimes...and u should give it a try too and see how it goes

Yes I just got started with Amazon on one of my accounts , I want to get CB going as well.

Agreed I've heard that millions of times but one thing I learned about marketing is that targeting marketing always works. They may not have their ads enabled but they will return to the site and tell their friends about it if they like it.

This is exactly right. Better off working with affiliate offers, creating a product to market (think ebook or something equally simple).

I agree 100% I've been making that switch as you will see in my following post.

Good start --

Create some engaging content that will allow your traffic to "make decisions" (eg. product review)

Ad's may not be the best monetization method for your 'first day'.

Possible collect opt-in e-mails in addition to CPA products mixed in. (Possible the ads to CPAs)

CPAs convert better in my opinion.

UPDATE 11/7/13

I started following http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/my-journey-discussions/581199-100-day-adsense-1-blog-have-done-before-now-showng-you-how-do.html and it gave me a lot of incite to ranking in the Big G (the right way). This influenced me to create a blog network. I haven't even begun to make content yet and already my gaming site has made 0.09. Because I already have a large audience and the ability to scale, this is big news for me.

I've finally taken the leap into affiliate marketing. I say leap because I always found it hard to believe that people would ever come to one of my sites to make a purchase of something they can easily buy somewhere else. I did quickly learn that it was a numbers game and that if you made content good enough to promote whatever it is that you wanted to sell you would more than likely do well. That's an easy concept to grasp but what really convinced me to get going was the idea of long tail marketing.

Long tail marketing/scaling whatever you want to call it, has always been an idea on my mind but it never really appealed to me. I guess it may have been because at that time I didn't have the ability to market and promote my content the way I do now. Also in that previous thread I really learned how simply ranking for the right keywords can increase your chances of conversions. This is again something I've heard 100s of times but, sometimes you need to see it to truly believe it and embrace it.

I've also begun to offer my own services/products. As you can see http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/my-journey-discussions/573166-how-i-made-20-000-3-months-can-i-do-again-method-journey.htmlI have a social media marketing company that I'm running at the moment. I've decided to give that company a blog and add it to my blog network. I have an Amazon store built into it (where I'm selling social media marketing books) and I also have an Affiliate marketing page. I'm offering people 30% commission on the contracts they bring me for as long as they last (I'm charging clients an avg. of $100 weekly so this converts to $30 a week). My clients are locked into 6 month contracts.

The good news is that I've already had some success with that as for as offline marketing and now I'm going to use the blog and it's content to bring in more clients and affiliates. If I get 10 affiliates with 10 clients each I can bring in $10,000 in revenue a week. I've done and had major experience with lead generation in my past so I'm not doubting the success, it's just a matter of when.

I've also begun to write a book for the Kindle. I'm was influenced by http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/550442-guys-kindle-ticket.html it really opened my eyes to the possibilities. I'm about 20,000 words in and about 60,000 to go. I have a marketing plan set up for that but as far as long tailing, I'm planning on creating my on books about internet marketing and sharing them on my IM blog.

TLDNR I think I will be making a lot more from adsense and I've started affiliate marketing by both becoming an affiliate and a vendor. I've also begun to start making my own content to maximize on profits!

***My question for you: Where can I find affiliate marketers for me or MLM sales people? Would Click Bank be a good start?*****

Good work. You should create a Journey thread with the title "HOW I STARTED MAKING MONEY WITH A FEW METHODS" or something like that.

As for Click Bank I don't know what to say. The reason you ask. Click Bank doesn't support my country, but strangely is supports every other country in Europe. My country is surrounded by 3 other countries and they are supported, but not mine.
