    Hi,

I am into mailing and recently started creating my own servers and now I am searching for hosting companies that are bulk mail friendly and won't shut down my servers because of some spam complaints.

I have very good mail list and less bounces too but sometimes due to complaints my server gets taken down.

Anyone in mailing industry care to share?? perhaps you can PM me if you can't post the host name publicly.

    thank you!

PS: The email list is not scraped and is valid mail data.

Most hosts will not have a problem with it because sending email is not illegal contrary to all the propaganda spread by the anti-email jackasses. Read the AUP posted on the hosting company's website and see what they say about email. You can also contact them directly and state that you are a can-spam compliant mailer and would like to know whether or not they'll have a problem with you emailing from their IP space.

I did ask many hosts but most of them don't allow bulk mailing and some of them who allow said that they will terminate the acc if I got complaints...
So actually I am trying to be on a safe side and trying to find few hosts who tolerate complaints, also all of my campaigns are Can-Spam complaint but there might be some campaigns which may be in grey area which I was thinking of running in the future.

I have had servers from OVH for my white hat mailing and never had much probs with them but sometimes if i get too many complaints then they shut the server down, so i just want to eliminate the possibility of my server being taken down.

Also it seems you are into mailing too :)
I am moving into ecom too, and have thought of making ecom and mailing my main business!

    Nice to meet you :D

I think u did not read the thread, I said i am looking for a host that ALLOWS mailing and tolerates complaints NOT the one that says in ther AUP "We will charge $35 per complaint"...

I think non US host would be the best bet... Maybe asian providers...

Yes, mailing is one of the things I do and whether or not they allow mailing is usually one of those unspoken things. Most will not say "yeah, go right ahead". They'll want to sound strict but in reality as long as you pay they won't really care. That said, you better be using FBLs so that complaints go to you and not the host. That way only those who take the time to whine directly to your host will show up as complaints, and as long as you don't generate too many of those you should be fine. The content of your email will also affect the likelihood that recipients complain...so don't promote spammy stuff, stick to solid offers from reputable CPA networks or your own offers.

    Thanks a lot!!

I see, yes I do use FBLs but didn't knew this until now, so how does this work, i do see the no of ppl who reported it as spam in my interface, so my host will not know that im recieving complaints unless the person goes an extra mile and contact my host to file a complaint? If this works for me then I'll just use ovh again, thier kimsufi dedi box range are cheap as hell...

    Thanks a lot man :)

You would set up the FBL with by going to the respective domain's postmaster and applying for it. Like postmaster.aol.com or just google to find out the link of other domains. Once you do that, anyone who clicks "report spam" or "mark as junk" etc, the 'complaint' will be emailed to the address you specify when you apply for the FBL. Some hosts will include their assigned IP ranges so they will also get complaints, but most of the time that's with shared or VPS hosting.

When you do get FBL you don't need to remove the address from your list on the first try, but if you get 3 in a row after mailing 3 times you should stop mailing to that address. The bigger thing you should be doing is removing 5xx (hard) bounces right away. If you ignore these you'll shitlist your IPs really quick, especially with profitable domains like aol, hotmail, and gmail.

The other thing you need to make sure you're doing is separate TLDs like yahoo, aol, gmail, outlook, hotmail from cable and GI. Do not mail to TLDs from the same IPs as you do cable/isp and GI (GI domains are domains registered and owned by individuals or domains that are not one of the big TLDs or a ISP).

I see, usually I just see no. of ppl who reported my content as spam in my dashboard(in interspire) not on my email so does this mean my FBL is setup correctly?

Yes the hardbounces are removed automatically from the list...

Hmm yes I have heard about using seperate IP's for GI and TLD mailing but right now I am not even doing 1M/day so not sure if it matters much? Currently doing around 100-200k/day. I have that strategy in my mind with some others things but thought that once I start doing few million per day then I would use it cause right now I don't have volume so not sure if its worth.

On the other note which list manager tool u use? SSLM? since yesterday it stopped working for me, I tried seperating TLD data but the output file is always 0 bytes, it seems the software knows that I am using crack and is just messing with me. Their site is also down.

Thanks a lot for all the help and insights you are posting :)

Just because you are can-spam compliant doesn't mean you won't get their IPs
    blocked / blacklisted.

Also, as a hosting company why would you deal with a customer that is getting complaints. If the company isn't specifically mail friendly, they will terminate your account so the problem doesn't escalate into a problem with their IP space.

Just because you set up FBL, the host can to and will know about the complaints.

I would remove all FBL's immediately.

Most providers will allow between 3-10 per 1000 messages. So why would you ever bother doing anything that is likely to increase it by mailing to the same user again?

You need to split your data up by TLDs, Cables, GI or even pure GI.

Most IP providers aren't going to allow GI and many times the IPs you get will already have domains that have been mailed using the IPs and won't work.

Do you even test with seeds before and while mailing?

Based on what you are saying, my guess is most of your mail is going to spam or blackhole.

Why are you using Interspire or is that a crack too?

FBL: Feed Back Loop - when someone clicks the spam button a copy of the message is sent to you

TLD: Top Level Domain - aol, gmail, yahoo, hotmail and domains using same MX

GI: General Internet - basically all other domains than TLD and Cables

    Pure GI: small GI domains

I have started to use mailwilzz, I use interspire because i used to buy ready made servers from providers and they all used to come with interspire .

As i said iam configuring smtps myself now so i am adding those smtp servers to my mailwizz servers and will be ditching interspire completely.

Btw why so angry?? No date on valentine's day? Oh if so then same pinch bro but no need to take it out here.
