Good read, only 2 years late for me but I learned from the past experience

this should be a sticky post since I believe is a good read for all the newbies and not so newbies that only think of adsense
 
Not agree with the all, but its a good guide for newbies. I have been with adsense for a long time and tried few other things, nothing delivers better than adsense for me.
Your traffic should be coming from visitors who are valuable for the businesses then it can make money. Some of my consistent RPM's are 100$ (some insurance sites goes 300$+ ) not the number of visitors but the quality of them is important.

I see big Adsense tendency now and the main issue that most fail to simply google for ad networks

I see a lot of people, including this forum, who monetize with AdSense only - and that's a big issue, AdSense one of the worst paying networks, and if there's a network that pays less - it doesn't worth to work with as Google buys all traffic.

All traffic should be quality no matter what niche you're in.

'not the number of visitors but the quality of them is important.' - both are important, you can have 1 quality visitor or 1 million quality visitors - what would you choose? (that is a rhetorical question).

One of the easiest way to avoid dealing with the ad server, but it won't always work for specific optimizations like GEO

You might be right, I am looking @ alternatives, especially for the shopping sites would be better with amazon and other affiliate programs. Informational sites/guides works best on adsense.
Also agree on that Adsense is not for the newbies, if you make mistake you may not even see your first payment. I see lots of people got account banned just after they reach the payment threshold.

Affiliate is a different game, Amazon also has a CPM program (not affiliate), though the program was just recently closed and they re-opened another one, CPM also. Again, AdSense is not the best, but what you probably mean is display/banner/native/non-standard ad networks.

Google does that because it has too many publishers to support, so they ban for no reason without looking at the case.

Nice article. Well, how do i get approve for adsense. Actually, i have been banned already by the network.
 
This is very useful for my case. I think I will try to learn more about adserver and pass back..
 
Do you recommend on-page or off-page header bidding? And what do you think are the pros, cons.

On-page when you manage header bidding process yourself, have a tech to manage it for you, or you hire someone to manage it for you.

Off-page is when you don't want to deal with this part of monetization and want to outsource this process by letting it the other company to manage it for you. Usually, these companies take a big chunk of your revenue instead of fixed price as on the on-site option, and your site should bring it least $20k profit (clean profit, after all expenses).

Is it a good idea to display adsense,clickbank offers , and also native ads in one single page?
Which platform do u recommend for a beginner to drive traffic from? shall i start with facebook ad or native ad networks ?
 
I would not suggest to mix CPA with CPM and CPC. Those are different models and require different types of behavior form traffic.
 
Why Adsense? There's lot of great alternatives with no account risks...

Depends on how you look at it, what’s your goal, and what’s your revenue
