Good morning from the UK. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day.

TODAY MARKS THE START OF MY IM JOURNEY

I have been lurking on this forum for a while now, learning, soaking up information and testing all kinds of crazy methods.

But
nothing has been working for me

Until...

I had a sudden realisation that it wasn't the methods that were the issue -
it was me.

For whatever reason (maybe it was how simple people made it look, or maybe it was just plain laziness) I saw the methods on this forum as easy - something I would be able to perfect overnight and start earning passive income.

Well...

I tried out some methods, worked fucking hard, made nothing and started to realise that
this wouldn't be easy at all.

So, after a very long, thoughtful day last week I realised that, above all, I should be doing something that I enjoy. Everything I've done so far was because of the earning potential I saw in it and not because I was interested or passionate.

Now here I am adding to the many IM journeys that this forum hosts.

SO WHAT AM I GOING TO DO AND WHAT'S MY PLAN?

If you're still reading thanks, here's what I've decided and already taken action on.

Monetary Goal:
I want to create an average revenue of £70/day, within a year.

£70/day is the average
living wage in my country, so I'm determined to reach this goal.

Niche Based Website:
I have chosen a specific niche that I am passionate about and have been working towards for over 5 years now, so it's something I know I am willing to work in & have proof as I used to sell out massive events in the industry (stopped due to terrible business partners and personal health reasons).

Now I've been floating through life wanting more and haven't had the balls to see it as a form of income (I've always thought of it as just a dream and that I needed something else to make me money passively in order to make time to work on it). <- Great from of avoidance that.

What I already have:
  1. Website designed
  2. Domain registered
  3. 2 blog posts SEO ready and keyword researched.
  4. £1000 disposable cash.
  5. A vast list of future keywords I can write articles to rank in.
  6. Determination. I'm not fucking giving in this time.

Plan:

  1. The first port of call is to ram the website with great, value giving content. My plan for this is to write 1 original article per day using my high traffic, low competition researched keywords (only have about 2 hours to work on this/day due to work commitments)
  2. Continually research great keywords for reach.
  3. Deepen my understand of SEO and optimise posts.
  4. Purchase expired domains with DA to takeover and 301 or use them as backlinks (not sure which one would be best yet)
  5. Post blogs in the communities I hold a valuable place in for forms of backlinks/social signals.
  6. Build my social media page beyond 10k (currently at 7.9k).
  7. Post 3 times daily on social media.
  8. Set up RSS feed posting from instagram to a section of the website to have more than just 1 daily article/piece of content.
  9. Monetise using amazon affiliates for reviews/affiliate schemes of products.
  10. Monetise using google adsense.
  11. Monetise by eventually offering my own products, courses etc.
  12. Shout out my own personal work already in this niche to gain better recognition.

So that's my plan and the start of my journey. I will be updating this thread as I go along, reporting my learnings, progress etc if anyone is interested.

Thanks for reading and any tips/help you can offer on this journey would be appreciated.

I'm out x

Current Revenue (£0)
Current Funds (£1000)

Sounds a well thought out plan.
What about costs etc already paid out or did you do the site build etc on your own?

Thanks. And good idea, I’ll edit the post to cover domain, hosting and the rest.

As for the website I’m building it myself using Wordpress.

OP do you currently work? Are you running this along side a job or full time?

Ok just one bit if your aiming for living wage its a bit higher than 70 a day in the UK.. not to nit pick or anything :) (70 as an additional income is a good goal I think) Good luck with the project
