I feel your frustration.
It took me a long time to get going with IM and really understanding how long it takes and how much effort it takes to make a living from this, the advertising/affiliate model has so much competition and payouts are often very low so you need an awful lot of great quality traffic to make some decent coin.
One of the biggest issues is that you will likely earn more working full time at an office job than you will doing IM if you don't uncover a model that can work for you, it's alot of failures and set backs but once you can get something set up that is automated or semi-passive you will have one of the best lifestyles.
If you have earned even $0.01 then figure out how to scale it, the hardest part is getting the first sale or click in my opinion, from then on it's just replicating your model .
I still make money with SEO Clients but I'm working on other models and hopefully they will surpass the clients one day.

I get the feeling that even if you just deposited money into his bank every month for nothing, he would need help using the ATM.

Find a reseller/white label option and learn it to the bone before you setup a sales thread here on bhw. Also if you want to restart your profile here go ahead and pay for VPN service to have a different IP so you can create a new account.
This is advice that can help you. I don't like working. I have a full time job but I love to dream up having everything and looking toward the IM world for roads to success.
Don't get loans or in debt. I'm recovering from stupid mistakes. I have some personal ideas that I could be putting in real moving action if I didn't have a lot of bills.
