Wow, now the ahrefs people have been around for longer than "quite sometime" they like you have suffered big losses in the beginning but never let this affect to them and yes I do pay $200 monthly for their subscription as I get "what I pay for", I will be happy if it gets cheaper but if you have read every word they have written and have watch every video and also if you have subscribed to their website for few month then you will see why us client may get stuck with them for long time, now if you are in SEO type of business, you need to invest to copy someone like these people, its not easy but if you have read what I wrote above, you will see I'm not liking their prices, so if you can do what they do and add your own stuff to it (add more value) and then sell your service at $100 a month, start with $50 special then TRUST me you will get there in few years. So now you understand what is going wrong with your approach: so far I see that YOU DON'T HAVE the "persistent" quality but you can acquire it and you can fix this issue. You seem to not have a good business plan, you need to sit down and write all of that and put an excel file of to do list for next 6-12 month and thats only if you THINK your project can be successful and thats only if you can handle failure and get up again and do it again and again until you GET THERE. STOP complaining and go see what are the issues that are stopping you to get THERE.

If people don't interact with your content then your content is bland.
If people aren't watching your videos or commenting then your videos are bland.
It's like a forum - if you aren't providing useful information with "meat on the bone" they can take away, they will not "Like" your posts. You have to be either educational, entertaining, or informative - or a combination of all 3.
You have to build a Brand. A Brand stands for something, whether it's real or not, the audience that follows it decides. It's why so many white hats still follow Moz - even though it's detrimental to their SEO efforts.
The best way to grow an audience is by educating newbies in that industry about certain topics. It's again why Moz has their loyal audience, cause when those SEOs first wanted to learn about SEO - Moz was the go-to resource.
Create better content that has actionable items, like DIY (Do It Yourself) lists for your industry, and you'll start growing an audience. Overtime you'll have your own unique voice and start dominating.
If you concentrate on SEO without doing proper customer profiles you'll be doom. (Google "BuilderSociety Customer Profiles") - You're welcome.

Have you watched the free Income School videos on Youtube? You don't have to pay for their course, the free videos teach you their entire method. I am willing to bet you are writing content that new sites have no hope of ever ranking for. Write response posts, and write a lot of them. If you're in a niche that does well on Pinterest, invest in Pinterest. Start making Youtube videos. Stop dabbling, and stick with one project.

ahrefs are a huge company that make something in the region of $50 million to $100 million per year. It could be more. It is not a guy sitting at home trying to make money online.
There's nothing to copy. They have a large server farm, huge infrastructure, expertise and 40+ employees, and they'll have more contractors.
What exactly have you tried?
You said you spent 2 years on a site and didn't create any links.
Fair enough if you want to take that approach, but how many words of content was on the site?
You mentioned calls. What's that got to do with sites?
Be specific. Describe in DETAIL what you've done over the past 2 years. What you built, what your niche was, how you planned to monetize it, how much content you wrote, and I'll tell you where you went wrong.
But based on what I've read from you so far, you are not approaching business right. Business requires a very specific mindset and a relentless focus on money.
The guys that make massive money focus on money. They don't think about whitehat, blackhat, or what should happen.
Building some website and trying to rank it is NOT a business. That's a work at home job.
A business is something with a system.
You may have a strategy for building and ranking websites in 1 year and you have a team pump them out according to your system.
You might be buying sites making $5k/mo, and turning them into $20k/mo within 6 months.
A business is creating a system from chaos.
That's how you make money. Look for chaos, then organize it.

I agree, I tried to help him but he seems very distracted, he is trying to be a fortune 100 with that attitude of his, I don't think I will waste my time to respond to this anymore. We don't even know what he wants!

- How do you know that you cannot rank for a keyword on a site? Serious question.
- Response posts to what? Some blog somewhere and I link to it and respond on mine?
- How do you find out what does well on pinterest? Or is this trial and error?
- Would you put your face into youtube videos?
- In fact, you recommend dabbling right there. Not dabbling would be to only use youtube or only use pinterest.

The site I worked 2 years on was a search engine for business services. The main page was a search mask, like google. I indexed the following pages in google, though, which contained keywords.
What does "relentless focus on money" mean in practise? What is your business? How did you get your system?

From What i understand - i think you want create huge project, and that is impossible without skill, budget, great team, or glorious luck.
when i start IM, i also want create huge projects, but you need to start somewhere. Find some cpa offer, and run seo traffic there. If you spend good amount of time researching, you will find good offer, and non competitive long tail keywords. Read here or on other sources about seo.
then your website will rank, you get traffic, starting earning some money. That’s important because you find out how things work + even small profit / victory is great motivation for future projects.
just start with something smaller than search engine.
when i start IM, i also want create huge projects, but you need to start somewhere. Find some cpa offer, and run seo traffic there. If you spend good amount of time researching, you will find good offer, and non competitive long tail keywords. Read here or on other sources about seo.

AAW is spot on in his assessment and he comes across as a very level headed person.
You on the other hand are passive-aggressive. Even your reply to me doesn't strike me as someone who is asking for the benefit of my experience, but rather you are looking for a fight.
When someone offers to help you and asks for detail, and you respond telling them to read your other posts, you immediately lose that person's respect.
You are here admitting you can't make any money online. Yet, you're being passive aggressive towards people who could help. I won't be reading your other posts. If you've tried and failed and don't want to take the time to write out your situation for me then tough for you. Continue failing.
You essentially believe that you are smarter than everyone else and have all the answers, yet you're unable to build a successful business.
You want someone to come here and basically say "Yes, you are super smart and doing everything right, but the reason you failed is because of X, Y and Z which are not in your control".
No. You failed because you have no clue what you're doing. Your first step to becoming successful is to accept that and start to change.

I once tried to use gopro's affiliate program(https://gopro.com/de/de/legal/gopro-affiliate-program), yet they denied without a reason.
I included affiliate links into a shop of mine, pointing to amazon, yet so far I got no earnings from this even though people clicked on the affiliate links. Either they didn't buy or there is some mechanism that stripped my affiliate cookie from their machines before buying.
Please share your story in a bit more detail.

Hey Max. I think I figured out your problem. You have lost touch with reality. You have a belief system that is not tested against real world.
In your head, parts of a system should work on their own. You suffer from a tunnel vision, seeing all these working pieces, comparing them to your own, and failing to see their context.
In successful businesses these are parts of well oiled machines, in your case, they are dispersed.
You want to be 1 man army, jack of all trades, however this is not easy.
If you want to rank for something as a solo player, you need to go after very easy keywords.
You need to focus on social media, as it has instant free results in terms of engagement. You do this to learn how your target audience responds.
If your social intelligence is not high enough, you won't notice any difference during A/B social media testing. Considering your rude responses to people here, it may very well be nail in the coffin for you.
So you need to hire someone to do things you obviously cant.
Well you might say, hey I wanna rank and bank, well guess what, you can't sell anything if you don't understand people.
You can't build big sites if you haven't built small ones.
People here gave you good tips, and you decided to piss on them. Problem is in you. Sooner you realize, sooner you can turn things around.
