I recently bought an expired domain. My website is done however it is not getting indexed. Is there any problem with expired domains or this is a general trend going across the world?

Indexing takes time, if content is good, and site structure is good as well, you'll get indexed.

Hi,

How much time. It is already 3 days.

For an expired domain it should not take more than a week.

I hope you are not trying to index "hello world" and that you have built the site properly. Even then it can take a few days, week or even two. And also, the domain can't have a manual penalty already applied, which is very often the case with expired domains, unless checked properly.

Thanx Nargil.

I just checked through wayback machine, ismywebsitepenalized that my domain is not penalized. Probably, I guess Google has updated its algo for search console.

you can do comment blast. Thats easy way to index.

else, try secret Video sauce.

Slow indexing is common these days. Dont worry man.

No, Everything is fine in GSC. Probably, slow indexing is the reason. Thanx Guys.

Looks great, but that need me to prove ownership of domain, but that could be not possible before acquisition, right?
Or there's some hack to add domain to search console, without owning them?

Thank You for your help.

Add website to Google search Console (google.com/webmasters), get more links to your website and it will be indexed :)

I think you can index it as per normal domain? Can try submitting to Google and list it in your webmaster tools and analytics. Also can try posting to your social media accounts.
