How much Time/Money does it takes to learn Facebook Ads?

Don't say it's relative, i already know that, so, i rather want to hear your experience on this.

I have access to 15-20 paid courses on Facebook ads and i have taken all of them, but still, i haven't been able to get profitable campaigns.

I feel the only way to learn Facebook ads is by spending real money and keep spending until i learn how to make profitable campaigns.

But how much time/money will it take to get there?

Learning Facebook Ads is completely free thanks to Facebook Blueprint which is a great resource. Like any learning concept, you can't put a generic time frame on mastering Facebook ads. People learn at different paces, and the more time you put into learning and understanding each module, the more value you will take away from it.

But if you want an answer from experience I was able to work through every module in about two weeks or so. Hope that helps.

You gave the answer to yourself. Personally I've spent $3000 of my own budget just testing and I was really feeling f*cked up because I didn't have income and I just went losing and losing. I'm still not a professional but I learnt a lottt from this. So testing & testing is the best way to learn Facebook Ads. And I agree with @Icey Dan that Facebook Blueprint is the best resource to learn. But in real time, tricks you'll learn just by yourself by spending money there.

Hey, thanks for your reply, So, after spending $3000, are you able to get consistent income from Facebook ads?
And you spent this $3000 over how many months?

My nightmare days were when I spent for 1 month $700 just for Page Likes (which were worldwide and not effective at all) then another $600 testing like this Page Likes in Tier 1 countries. I've spent $3000 I can say in 5-7 months. Actually I don't get consistent income from FB ads because I don't have anything to sell yet, but they really helped me with a lot of clients. And I still use them for local clients work just for ads (not leads or shop) and not for myself. They really helped me for companies to know that I'm well informed for FB ads and get jobs for managing their social media.

Hmmm, offering facebook ads management could be a profitable service.
I'd be interested in such service if there's any.

It took me a while to get to the point where I could consistently run profitable campaigns.

The turning point for me was learning to not overthink audience building and letting FB's algo do it's thing. If you're lucky, the client will already have some data on their pixel. If they don't you have to spend money to get to the point where you can build LALs.

But as far as how much it cost me to learn, I probably spent around $2k-$3k of my own money testing stuff. I would hit up my SEO clients and ask them if I could run FB ads for them for free. They almost always agreed and that's how I got practice. Once I figured out how to run lead form ads, I sold the service to clients.

These days I do mostly ecom and I also have around 10 dental clients that I do lead gen for. You can easily get dental implant patient leads and invisalign leads for <$6 and most dental practices want those types of patients.
