So, how is optimisation on Google different from Bing?

I have a blog on blogspot which ranks okay on Google, but does not even show up on Bing search results. What can I do to optimise for Bing as well?

I've read around on blogs, and they all say how Bing takes High Domain Authority, on-page optimisation, and diversified anchor texts more seriously than Google. But with the minimum optimisation I've carried out, I should have at least shown up somewhere in the results! I get crappy results on yahoo and duckduckgo as well.

The blog has been around for almost 2 months now.

Blogspot is a google product so they rank their website up compare to other websites :)

True. But shouldn't the site be, at least, listed on Bing as well? Does Bing boycott platforms implemented by Google?

    Luvnish,

There isn't a ton of differentiation between optimizing for these two engines. Really they are in close competition with one another so they will be similar in the way they serve users results. You could try submitting your site and sitemap in Bing webmaster tools. That should have some positive impact.

I have read around the web that backlinks and PageRank are less important factors for Bing but that bing does still look at the meta keywords tag (although be careful with that one because they also use it to identify spam sites).
You may get some more ideas here,

    Hope that helps you,

It takes more tome in Bing to index your site and in general Bing is less used than Google. In general, it is almost impossible to optimize your site for every search engine, you can't win them all.

Yep. Alot of sites would likely get penalized on Google before they were able to top the Bing SERPs. Different search engines treat everything from nofollow links to 302 redirects differently.

One thing that you have to understand that every search engine has their own algorithm and they work according to that. Google update almost every months its algorithm to make Google search lot more user friendly and smart. Accordingly Bing has its own algorithm to work. So, if you're website is working well on Google then your website must be more Google friendly then Bing.....

I have never seen any one "BING" anything. Everyone "GOOGLE" things!

Honestly to me there's no point in even considering any search engine other than Google for SEO purposes!

Please do share if you know of a BING success story because till date I haven't seen any !
