Every week there's an unconfirmed update.
One of my pages tanked really badly on 18 June. No idea why as it had been stable for years.

This is the reason why me (and many others) thinks seo is death.
Because every f'***ng week there is an unconfirmed update.
Every week, you can wake up in the morning and your site (and money to pay bills) is gone.
Nowdays you can expect an 80% drop without any reason, without any notification, without any apparently pattern. Nothing.
Back in the days there was an update every 6 months and you could been safe for at least 6 months. And if you experienced an 80% drop there was a notification for bad practice/spam links/cloacking.
In few words... there was always a reason.

First of all, this is the first time I got hit by a confirmed update but hits and recoveries had happened randomly before.
I agree... before it was easier. Now, it's just random.
SEO is not dead... it's just we can't figure how google targets sites.
PS: with all the AI, there's more spam now so google has to fight harder now. Nowadays, people create sites with thousands of pages in a matter of days and google has no time to manually review them so they randomly target sites.
I guess you still dreaming to believe SEO will save your site. SEO died 2 years ago. The Sundar CEO guy needs to go to return things to normal

Do nothing... is that your answer? Awesome. I think SEO died over 10 years ago for you.
I don't really need to save anything... but save a few URL's.
And I believe in the future... so I'm OK to work and get better.
This update hit my bad pages so it's awesome for me as I knew the problem. Google just reaffirmed it.
PS: 1-2 weeks and more posts will pop up... some are happy, some... well.

I don't know guys, but according to Semrush after June 22( a bit early to make any assumption but...) my projects start to gain keywords again, unfortunately it only according Semrush, analytics still shows red numbers. It may be a sign that we can see some nice recovery soon

Yeah, same for me, only on the 21st. Today, so far, Ahrefs is also showing slightly more improvement than yesterday. Still, traffic is shit, not just in volume but in other signals such as bounce rate and session duration. Again, this doesn't have to mean anything, and the day is just starting.

In a site I lost 35% of keywords and I don't know how to recover it now... from almost 1000 daily visits I went to 550/600...

I do not know if you are a SEO guy or not. But there are MANY people in the same situation.
If SEO was as used to be (or works at least), you could have AN IDEA, more or less, maybe, why your site has been tanked.
OR
There was a notification in your GSC.
Now, EVERYDAY, I read people has been tanked without a reason and they do not why (yes whitehat / clean / well established sites as well).
And I guess those SEO gurus do not know why.
And they are / will not be able to recover any sites with their "SEO tricks".
I say this because I am not a SEO guru (cause I do not want advertise myself) but I am EXTREMELY skilled (20 years in da business) and if I am not able to recover / understand why / how to move, those gurus are on the same boat.

My site has SEO and it was working perfectly with constant growth... this update almost killed it. I will put more content and I will look at GSC (I do not have any alerts). I hate google when it does this and doesn't explain anything.

Of course I don't know what to do either. But I need to improve it because the sites are the ones that pay the bills :s. Of course I have to diversify but everything is very exploited on the internet.Me is the same (-80%)..but I am not going to work on it... it will be an extremely hard work...and moreover, not knowing what to do....
