Google Update - May 27th 2022 - What I Have Noticed

Two interesting finds for me.

Ive faced the same situation of losing traffic over night then it slowly creeping back up. My site is 70% Jasper. The pages I’ve be slowly rewording, have been doing better.

1 - Apparently there are GTP-2 detectors which you can put your Jasper content in there which is using GTP-3 to see if it detects it. I know everyone is saying that google can’t detect AI content but….i know someone tested Jasper content on a GTP2 detector and it detected it. But not sure how accurate these detectors are…..

2 - I wrote 3 GuestPost on DR70-80 sites, with tons of traffic. I used Jasper 100% ……all 3 post indexed, ranked wel on page 1 then literally disappeared, like removed from serps.

I think google would not say if they have an AI detector running.

Also what I’ve noticed is in GSC you will see your site indexed but when you search you can’t find it. Maybe because google put you in the supplemental index due to content quality….

I think I’m going to pay more money to writers to not use any AI support.

And what about all those sites that haven't used AI content but still lost all KWs? How can anyone or a program detect if something is AI or genuine unless you just leave the AI to do it all and don't read and correct the glaring errors

I lost a few more keywords but a few that were lost in that massive group loss on Thursday got back as well.

I will take it as a positive sign cause there's fuck more I can do at the moment.

i lost 50% of my organic traffic
clean site , no backlinks , no copy content
i don't know what is going on

Nope... Still 20 / 30 % less than pre core update.

I hope in the next CUs, but I am very pessimistic about it.... Google has become more greedy in the last 2 / 3 years.

Someone remember a core update that kills many small business (AKA thousands of jobs) during the most critical period of COVID?

While their earning grows EXPONENTIALLY (.... and when we talk about BILLION it's quite impossible to grow exponentially).

They want more money, they want your content to present in feature snippet, PAA, Google properties spam, zero click search, and high spenders for adwords (it NOT convert as it used to be -> you've to put more budget on it).

What do you expect? Google and its nonexistent transparency, its monopoly and its greediness it is simply disgusting.

They need a serious competitor ASAP!!!

In the last 2 Days my Traffic decreased even more. Pages are still indexed but they are going from google page 1 to 2 and even lower where you can hide a corpse and nobody would notice.

As a sidenote I have not done anything on this weekend to fix or add some things which possibly could help.

I just needed a break to clear my mind and tried to figure out what to do and wrote it all down on my whiteboard. It almost looks like the google results - like shit, lol

I'll start tomorrow but it's a long process and I have not to much time at the moment so I guess I won't see good results too soon.

If something changes for the better, I'll write it here.

For those that are suffering, consider taking a break for a week and free yourself from the stress and enjoy the down time. Let the dust settle with this update then get back onto working on your websites. Personally I am quietly optimistic that this "update" / filter is over, the serp results are too shitty for them to be finished.

On another note, one thing for sure is that Google would love you to invest your money in Ads instead of SEO.

My traffic on most of the projects keep decreasing too. In compare with last week i lost 30% more.
So lets wait few more ~~years~~ weeks. I'm keep watching for some big 'guys' in my niche and most of them are losing traffic either, so this is good sign, give me a slight hope that this update is still rolling out or at least that google will notice that their SERP is shit and they need to revert it.

What I don't like is big swings. in both average position and impressions.
I don't know... maybe because the summer is upon us so less people searching.
But I don't like the swings: recovering... getting better.... down again... more down... hey, recovering again.

What is this crap? it's just one of the pages.

Some pages sank later so I expect them to recover later... how the fuck am I supposed to work with these yo-yo's?
Old site and yet... can easily go 5-10 positions down then abruptly recover.

I have noticed that websites without backlinks, even clean and whitehat, have been hardly affected by thos update, I have lost 50-60% of my traffic for amazon sites 0 backlinks

I'm confused... websites without links have hardly been affected by the G updates and yet you lost 50%+ with 0 links.

Are filters, google filters.

Per my observations, they turn on / off filters on hourly / daily / weekly basis.

Their AI has detected the most searched keywords / trends in a specific time frame, so during the most busy and traffic hours of the day / days of the week they put on and off their filters.

Why? Again, money.

During the much busier hours they want users stay on google properities has much as possible, and they fill the 1st page with panels of google properties spam (PAA, Youtube Panels, YT Videos, Images, Refine your search, books, shopping, .........).

And if you stay ALWAYS on 1st page Adwords crap is ALWAYS there ($$$$$ for them).

Every act, every move from Google has only 1 goal: Money, their money.

Fingers crossed guys.
