Yeah, google is bulls**t, it's on full retard mode :D

Btw, guys, I would not post here if you have some recovery or any methods that resulted in a recovery, I made that mistake. G is watching this thread closely lol.

And what's Google going to do when I move all the traffic sources to social? It can kiss my behind.
 
Here are some of the winners of these two last updates (may and july). While I'm pretty sick of this .xyz subdomain spam, I have to say they did a pretty good job overall. Not to mention all these .xyz also spread adware/malware.

Purely blackhat automated seo spam, congrats guys, shame on Google.
 
My traffic started to recover for one week but then those SOB's from google couldn't have that and released that recent update again. It seems traffic goes up one week then down the next.

I can't wait to shift traffic sources over to social and email marketing and then give GOOGLE the finger!

I'm slowly but steadily building up my email list of loyal followers.

I can also see some ranking fluctuations in my sites.

But as i can see its from 23rd july to 27th july. After that there is in a sudden increase in traffic.

I don't know that I put much stock in thinking that Google is broken per se, but the flux that I see on my own properties is normal in my opinion. I am seeing an upward trend on my end.

Google is destroying the internet and screwing webmasters over harder every year. Just under 50% of users never leave Google search as they already get the answer through snippets etc. A large percentage of the leftover traffic mostly goes to other companies Google owns such as YouTube.
 
As I said on another thread, I am not sure they will be going this way (to become an answering machine), since not clicking will also hurt their revenue.

However, if they will implement "answering" to certain keywords only (probably many millions), based only on their revenue figures (let's say, keywords without CPC), then it will be something for the federal authorities. And, of course, it's not hard to identify such behavior...

But in the end, becoming "evil" will not pay off, even if most of us will not be alive when it will happen :))

Just to add to this:

This is no longer true, 5-10 years ago top ten were links to useful websites providing the content. Now over 50% of the 1st page of SERP is stolen content from websites in a form of snippets and Q and (stolen answers) A. On mobile it's even worst. An endless stream of questions ...

Is it helpful? no, if you ask me if I look for 'best running shoes' I'd expect to see links to websites that talk about best running shoes, not an endless 'people also ask for' this is confusing and pure attempt to keep users on google without redirecting to a website that provides useful info.

If google was so good at detecting users' intent (they probably are) you would not see any of those 'people also ask for' on the 1st page of SERP. You'd see links to relevant websites. What happens is that they want to cover as much ground as possible related to a search query so the user gets the answer, never leaves google, and click on one of their ads.

If this is the way G works now to make it fair they should pay a commission (per impression) to the websites they steal content from.

Last but not least, G always says '... it's what our users want...' the problem is that they never show any data supporting that claim.

By not showing the data they can implement any change that benefits them, say it's what our users want and no one will know if this is true or not (an attempt to manipulate the SERP)
