Yeah I know, Kwfinder will not cost him a lot thought that's what I am really interested about :D

He also said that he knows how much kwfinder and SemRush is making a year.

I doubt the free service would last long at all. I think he is moving from content to technology and that's how he wants to make money going forward.

Yeah, a lot of SEOs are going this route with mass page builders, mass website builders, plugins, etc.
 
I did read about this, we'll see how long they are free. Sounds good though.
 
Oh and if your looking for a free alternative to kwfinder, look up serpstat, 30 queries a day for free and has competitor analysis, no need for patels naff tools.

Yeah, competition is good in general we shall see what/if any impact it really has on the major players (the ones with their own index, not KWfinder etc)

It might be free for the first 6 months when he some market share then - we now have a premium level for $50 a month etc..
 
Neil Patel does have good knowledge on SEO and nowdays some people have better knowledge than him if you know where to find them ;)

But sometimes I really get confused between keywordtool.io, kwfinder and google kw planner. Which one is the most accurate? :)
 
OK, so, if you were to compete with someone, I am sure you wouldn't let them know your plans in advance, would you? And give them time to prepare for it. And they have way more resources than you do. It just isn't proper business logic, even if you are confident that you will succeed.

So: 1. He will do it to maintain reputation
2. He will get some traffic (and is getting it right now too)
3. Tools will not be able to compete with the big players. Traffic alone isn't enough to cover the costs.
