Facebook ads

Hello everyone,

This is my first time running an ad on Facebook. It'd be a lead generation ad targeting weightloss and diet niche collecting emails and phone number for USA people. What recommendation or advices would you give me? What should be my daily budget?

I heard they pay well, and it'll cover up my expense of running ads. But I'm open for other ideas, what would you suggest me?

Yes you're absolutely right but i do have to select a niche before to start doing it, and what I'm asking what niche is good and secure for fb.

I also have an experience of running ads on Google. I've been doing keto there and it's going good. But I've doubt that it won't be successful on fb as its against their policy. Do you think any lead niche like cpl would be good? Like home improvement offers ie roofing or flooring? Collecting their emails would be any good?

In my opinion, you could firstly booster your post 1$ a day to see weather your ads run well on Facebook.

If it goes well, you can increase your budget.

Make sure your ads creatives are attractive and comply with FB's policies( better use pics without metadata).

I just checked the stats of running an add with $1, and it's barely reaching any people

Don't start running ads on your own account. Get another account, learn from there and then once you have things sorted, you can migrate to your own account. With FB Ads you WILL make mistakes and get banned.

Also right now with this whole privacy frenzy, lots of people have been finding more success in running traffic campaigns and lead campaigns vs conversion campaigns.

Lead campaigns are good because the user stays within the FB ecosystem to track interest which allows for the AI to function better.

Traffic campaigns cost way less than conversion campaigns in my experience. Unless you have everything dialed in, I wouldn't spend money on conv campaigns yet.

Also make sure you are tracking EVERYTHING. I mean use Google Analytics with proper UTM parameters. If you use a CRM make sure that you are passing the campaign and source parameters to your CRM. Fb's tracking is terrible right now but you can still make use of it if you are tracking 3rd party yourself.

It's because the Niche you are targeting has a very high CPM. For instance if you are in the health space and you narrow down by age and country, you can easily see a cpm of $100+

If you want to do a test on fb. The best thing to do is to have a video and broadly target your desired demographics. By decreasing your CPM's video ads will work better to give you a good gauge as you can see engagement percentages based on how long people viewed your videos. It's better to test this way as you aren't spending enough to really get useful KPI's like CTR, CPC, CPL etc
