Does Advertising affect your SEO ranking ?

I explain my question:

From what I understand, the more the users like your site, the more your answer to the user's question is appreciate, the higher google is gonna rank you naturally.

But when you start from 0, getting your first traffic to "prove" google that your site is interesting and well design and retain the users, it costs you a lot of time (at least it costs me^^).

So my simple question is: If I run lots of paid ads (via google or via socials) and drive a lot of traffic to my website, google will have data to mesure that people like and stay on my website when they land on it...

So will that boost me SEO ?

If I had to guess I would say YES.

Yes, but only if the metrics are good, for example bounce rate.
