I had this weird question in my mind.

Can spin content beat handwritten content in the SERPs for low competition keywords?

What are your views?

Sure it can but you need a really good spinner and proper keyword research.

Very hard to achieve this in current situation. I will say next to impossible. Even if it ranks for some time, people will exit the page after reading, that is a negative signal and thus ranking will drop.
 
as we know google removes shit from their page one results, this is a lost war; you might win a battle or 2, but you will ultimately be defeated with your shit content.
 
No point, because even if it does rank briefly - as mentioned above no one will spend anytime reading it and so it will start to drop. It's really not worth the effort in today's SERPs.

Exactly! Engagement would be close to 0 because the spinned content won't make sense to the user.
 
Since you're talking about low competitive keyword I think yes a spin article is enough to rank.
however, you should not totally rely on it an so do some changes manually after spinning the article.
 
I sincerely hope not! Nothing beats high-quality content written by a human who knows what they are doing!
 
Yes.. I have a website that ranked at 3rd page in the search engine which has content ripped from other websites.. Yeah 100% copied from other websites. But domain is 5 year old with few high authority back links to the homepage. Competition is very low.. I guess spinner content should rank depending on the niche and completion..

NO

I tested it, always failed. I had almost 0 competitive KWs with very low search. My site was raking with Spin content but when I got company with 300-500 words hand written content, it's out ranked.

So I believe, Hand Written Content always Win.
 
i don't think it will rank...google rankbrain will outrightly reject it and even if it ranks somehow, visitors will abandon the site within seconds after reading first few sentences which will eventually give google a strong signal that website is not helpful..
 
It depends on the quality of both aspects.

I have seen samples of cheap writing and it looks like a pissed cat has run over the keyboard.
I have seen cheap articles, which have been clearly manually spun, as an example ' The Republican Party announced..." became " The Republican celebration shouted ".

Recently I saw a couple of samples of spinner created articles and these were good and with a little bit of tweaking could be very good.

didn't you receive any type of DMCA notice from an original content owner?
or if you did then how did you manage to get out of it?
 
I have been looking around, if any site ranked out there with spun content. But failed.
 
No, or not in 2018. Wait for AI to evolve more, and you'll get good spinners.
