It's working fine. I do not use any article spinner. Just translating for instance from Italian >> French >> English.
By the detour over French, a text spinning / ai spinning takes place automatically.

Are you searching for articles in a different language and then translating over, or are you taking an article in your language and translating it to other languages then back to your language?

Google will not tag your translated content as duplicate content. This is because when you do translation right, there will be changes in the overall content that can be considered “new.”

Yes Google Can Identify, But Only Up to certain Extent. I would Recommend You To Translate It Manually and then Upload.

If you copy translate and paste without any change yes is easy to compare but if you still edit the final result is ok because you change it to make sence sometimes google might not traduce properly some words to make sence, to me you are doing it fine.

Everything is alright in my test as long as the translation is not directly from or to English. My material is ranking quite poorly.

For instance, English -> French -> your preferred source language.

No, there shouldn't be issues. Have in mind that it's always best to translate into another language first and then into English
