1) Make a list of topics.
2) Make a list of long-tail keywords based on topics.
3) Build pages for each topic.
4) Set up a blog:-Each blog post and fill up your clusters
5) Blog every week to develop page authority.
6) Create a link-building plan.
7) Stay current on SEO news & practices.

As its a finance niche, most important part would be the content keep updating them and you will get natural results. Doing so, share them using social media platforms with exact keywords and this way you could improve you site metrics as well.

To increase the authority of the site for a longer period, build links with guest posts.
This also helps to drive real traffic to your site for free.

But after May update, backlinks matter more than on-site optimization. Before May update my site was ranking for many keywords without backlinks but now 50% traffic gone.
Have you faced the same problem?
Any advice to get recovered?

for the times that I lost my number 1 ranking, I went back and reassessed the new number 1 and other top 2-3. i want to see if they have made any changes to their content. changes in keyword density in major meta tags. are they answering new questions on their meta tag. i make modifications to address those changes


also another thing that I do, which I do not have any scientific fact behind: I go and add new content (not new links), to the tier 1 sites that I control. not sure why, but few times I have done this, my ranking went back to 1 again. I guess fresh new content to google's eyes makes the old backlink come alive again. again, absolutely no scientific basis.

p.s. by new content, i have tons of blog posts that I have copied and use them across different tier 1s across different time frames.

I created a topic-related site 12 years ago. No ads. Just relevant posts on specific topics.
After 12 years it has become quite an authority site in eyes of google and bing.
I make changes and google bot visits it within next 5 to 6 hours and updates SERPs.
Now I've started linking out to exclusively to my money site, both new and existing.

No more relying on buying backlinks from Forbes, or CNN, or NY Post. Just without them my new sites jump sky-rocket in SERP when they get backlinks from my 12 year old site. It has DA 83 and inside pages got UR as 40+ and it has generated cool authority backlinks naturally from third party sites.

and there's more inside it. though I will not reveal that, its trade secret as rest of the members keep with themselves.

so this is the SEO strategy to create authority blog and sites. Don't rely on third-party services. They close down anytime, they change do-follow to nofollow backlinks anytime they want (example Medium.com, twitter short URLs). Be in control of your links. I always said, avoid buying backlinks. but build it yourselves.

Do you create separate google account for each site? (for Analytics & Search Console) or you use your same google account to create multiple projects in search console?

Do you have good knowledge of finance niche. If yes, also start a YouTube channel with the website.

You can outsource the SEO part to some BHW seller. Read reviews to decide.

I keep single google account for my money sites and other account for backlinking sites, blogs, etc. Same with analytics.

Instead, pay attention to how much time you're willing to invest.
